No one thought I could forgive Cynthia so easily knowing what temper I had..

My boss was particularly impressed by my steadfast love and volunteered to supply me with a suit and ring for my wedding, if a wedding was imminent..

I happily told him a wedding was on the cards..
We decided to marry during Christmas when everybody was looking forward to that important day..

We had been very careful not to have a child until we were legally bound so we abstained from unprotected sex, although we had pressure from Cyndie’s parent for a badly needed grandchild..
During Christmas, we went to Ajao Estate, Lagos to perform the traditional marriage rites..

We had wanted the wedding to come on at Ajegunle, but Cyndie’s mother protested and so we tied the knot at Ajao Esate and had the thanks giving service at Ajegunle..

We were overwhelmed by the crowd that tropped into the Spacious Baptist Chruch building..
Every seat was occupied with the late cormers peeping through windows and doorways…

At last the ceremony ended with the usual vows and pledges and we left the church building and had ourselves driven noisily in a beautiful convoy around town…

The enthusiasm with which the people of Ajegunle greeted our union was moving.. I shed tears of joy..

Crowds of people had come from as far away as Ikoyi itself..

Gifts were presented to us and the most expensive gift which came as a surprise was presented by Cynthia’s aunt who had flown down from London especially to attend our wedding ceremony.. She presented us with a red Opel Sports card which accommodated only two passengers.. It was all joy as she presented us with the keys…
