WOMAN
My child, love is a very beautiful thing, you don’t need to be confuse, if you feel nothing for this young man then don’t mind all this people begging you to marry him but if you love him just accept him already and let him stand up.

They laughed again. I turn around and saw the crowd that has already gather waiting to see the outcome of this romance.

KOLA
Please say ‘yes’ (tears has already filled his eyes)

RITA
Yes kolawola owolabi michael I will marry you. He put the ring on my finger, I held his hands and helped him to stand he picked me from the ground and kissed my two cheeks. People were already clapping and congratulating us. Kola was so happy and I couldn’t hide the fact that I was happy too. We got home and kola called his family to inform they that he propose to me and I accepted they were so happy, in fact that night our phone continuously to ring, it was his family they were calling us every minutes to ask us to be fast in fixing the date for our wedding and all that. I was really blessed and happy to be in this kind of family.

KOLA
Thanks for accepting to marry me.

RITA
No, thank you for choosing me. I love you.

He stare at me for a while, before he moved close to me, he placed his hand round my neck and stare even more

RITA
What is it baby.

KOLA
Can I kiss you?
I nodded agreeing to it, he smiled before kissing me, he stopped move back to see my reaction if I was angry or not. (why should i) but it was obvious I liked it so he moved closer and kissed me again, this time I kissed back.
The date of our wedding was fix, his family just couldn’t wait but I was border apart from my parents, I don’t know any of my father relatives who was going to accept my bride pride? That really bordered me. Since my father in-law to be and I have a close relationship I told him about it and he advise I use the little information I have to travel home and find my family. I told kola about what his father said and he accepted to go with me (so sweet) two days latter kola and I traveled to my home town (Kogi state ofabo) to look for my father’s relatives.

Well the journey was hectic but I found my dad’s family. My wedding is going to be the boom. Watch out for part two Title “Stand by me”(God why Me)
