What a long journey that was. I was just a few minutes away from home when I decided to call the
PI that i had hired to find Les. I really miss my brother.

P.I: Hey man
Me: Hey…I was wondering if there are any new developments regarding my missing brother?

P.I: Unfortunately not. It’s like he disappeared from planet earth.
Me: That is disappointing but please keep looking.
P.I: Alright i will
Me: Thank you man. Cheers.
I dropped the call as I was parking just outside the house. The yard was very neat and I was
shocked because no one has been here for a long time now. I went and knocked on the door
before entering. I didn’t wait for anyone to summon me in because this is home. As i entered the
house i got the shock of my life!

LESLEY
Myself and Mashudu were sitting in the lounge talking when someone knocked once and entered
the house. When I learnt who it was my anger just went to another level. I was already irritated by
what Mashudu was telling me as it did not make sense. Ethan was the last person i executed to
see here. He threw me out when ii was at my lowest! What are these people doing here? What do
they want from me? I turned to look at Mashudu who’s mouth was hanging open then at Ethan
who’s eyes were wide open.

Me: Ethan. What do you want here?
Ethan: I came here for Mashudu. What are you doing here?
Me: I have been staying here since you decided to throw me to the wolves. Why would you even
ask me that as if you care?

Ethan: Brother i will answer that later for now ii want to know how Mashudu found you and didn’t
tell me when she knew very well that I had been looking for you for some time now. Shudu, would
you please enlighten me.

Mashudu: Ahm ii…he…ii. Ethan no he
Ethan: what Mashudu? What? Talk and stop stuttering!

Mashudu: Okay but promise not to get mad…please

Ethan: Okay I am waiting
Mashudu: I…I…

Ethan: Talk!!!

Mashudu: I paid him!

Ethan: What do you mean you paid him?

MASHUDU
Ethan took me by surprise. I did not expect to see him here. He was also drilling me with questions
that I could not answer! What do I do? What do I say?

Me: I paid him not to tell you the whereabouts of Lesley.

He stood there not moving or saying anything but you could see the anger building up. I wanted to
run but where do I run to? Where do I hide?

Ethan: How could you Mashudu!? How could you when I trusted you so much?!
Me: Ethan baby please calm down
Les: Baby?

Ethan: Don’t you dare! You know that what we were doing was just for fun!
Les: Oh wow…just wow

Rudzani: Whats going on here?

There goes my chance of getting back together with Les

Ethan: How did you even pay the guy? He does charge a lot so tell me where you got that kind of
money?

Mashudu: Ahm ii…he…Ethan ii…
Ethan: You slept with him!?
Mashudu: yes…no…maybe..no…ii mean I…no I.
Ethan: No you didn’t!

Mashudu: I had to. I didn’t have money to pay him so my only option was to do what i know I am
good at.

Ethan: You disgust me. Sleeping with the guy just so he can keep his mouth shut? Wow!

Les: Get the hell out of my house Mashudu! I bet you are here with a motive and all that you said
was a lie! I hate you and I don’t want to see you ever again.

Les was not having it. He was beyond the word angry. I have never seen him like that. Rudzani
slowly walked towards Les with tears streaming down her face. Fear was visible.

Rudzani: Baby please calm down. I am begging you. She is not worth it.

I felt like slapping her. How could she! Les wrapped his arms around her. His face softened. My
heart broke at the sight because i still love Les!

Ethan: Mashudu you heard what Les said!

Les: Ethan what are you doing here?

Ethan: I tracked Mashudus phone and it brought me here.

Les: I need some air we will talk when I get back.

MASHUDU
Ipfi woke up and told me all that had been happening at home. She was reluctant at first but
eventually spoke. My worst fears were confirmed. What I had been praying for not to happen,
happened. My heart broke into a million pieces. She begged me not to take her back. I was not
planning on taking her back but I first had to talk to Les. There have been people arguing and I
went to see who it was. People were arguing and making noise.

I couldn’t talk to him when he was like this so I let him go out and get some air.

Ethan: And who are you?
I was left with this guy who has some resemblance of Les.What do I say to him when I don’t know
him.

Me: Rudzani
Ethan: I’m Ethan..Im his twin.
Me: Oh Okay.

This is the same guy who left his twin when he was down and out.He didn’t even care at all how
he was doing and what he was eating.

Me: Oh Okay.

He had bags on his hands.
Me: Can I show you to the bedroom?
Ethan: Lady this is home so I don’t need a tour so save your energy..

Yuuu so much for being nice.such an arrogant jerk.

I attempted to go and make food for Ipfi

Ethan: Whatever it is that you think you are doing with my twin just forget it.You are not of his
class and certainly not his type.Look at whatyou are wearing.Girls your age are at university yet
you are busy running after men.You better leave my brother alone because he has a lady that my
parents chose for him back home..

He walked away.

I sat down on the couch as I felt a little pain on my abdominal area..I massaged it and felt okay
after a while.I went and made food for Ipfi.She was on the bed playing with her fingers looking
down.When I sat on the bed I lifted her head up and her eyes were filled with tears.

Me: Baby please don’t do this to yourself.Its all gonna be okay..Im here now and I’m not going to
leave you.

Ipfi: Mom..mom will come get me.

Me: She don’t or else I will report her boyfriend.

Les walked in.

Les: I think it’s about time you both tell me what is going on.

Ipfi hid her face on my shoulder.
Les: Why is she scared of me? Did he do something to her? That b-----d!! Is that why she refused
me earlier on?
I just nodded

Les: I’m gonna kill someone today.

Me: Les please wai….

He walked out.
Ipfi: udo mphanga khakhathini .mma vhado mbulaya (he is gonna get me in trouble.Mom will kill
me)

Me:baby khombela uri a dzike .Les hanga iti tshithu (baby please calm down,Les won’t do
anything)

Ipfi:mma vhangasi kholwe na tshithu tshine ndado vha vhudza nga uri vhaya vha funesa (mom
won’t even believe anything he says because she loves him)

Me: vha kho pengiswa nga lufuno babe.vhado zwi elelwa nga murahu uri hango vha fanela (She is
blinded by love babe.she will realise late that he is not good for her)
Ipfi:ndiya vha vhenga.. ndi tama sathane atshi vhaisa heleni. (I hate him.I hope that satan can take
him to hell)
She said that breaking my heart even more.She is young and she is not supposed to have this
much hate in her.
