ETHAN
When the show was over I asked one of the guys to drop me at home.I rang the intercom and the
maid opened up.

When I got to the door I didn’t knock.
Me: Good evening family!!!
I shouted.

Mom: What are you doing here?
Me:Eh is that a way of welcoming me back home.

Mom: Not when you discharged yourself Ethan.
Okay now this woman is gonna shout at me like I’m someone who lost her Tupperware
Me: Okay I can see I’m not welcome here.I will go to my house..But First where is my woman?

Mom: Leave Ethan!! If you want to be a man them go and be a man in your own house.
Me: Mom I want my fiance
Mom: She is my daughter in law so she won’t be going anywhere
Me: She wouldn’t be your so called daughter in law if it wasn’t for me.

Mom: And you wouldnt be here is it wasn’t for me you fool.

I went close to her and attacked her with a hug.I know that will calm her down
When she was calm I kissed her forehead.
Me: How are you mother?

Mom: I’m okay just worried about your dad
Me: Dad will pull through.He still has grandchildren to raise
Mom: I hope so.

Me: Let me check out my niece and nephew Ma.
Mom: they are sleeping Ethan let them sleep.They are a handful

Me: Okay.can I go sleep
Mom: Better idea.
I walked away.Found Sharon sleeping in what used to be my room.I missed this sight.

RUDZANI
Spending time with Ethan and his craziness is so out of this world.He made me laugh most of the
time and that made me forget about some things that we are going through.
Les: Babe

Me: Yes
Les: Once this is over I’m marrying you.
There goes the topic I hate.This topic depresses me because I left home in a very sensitive
manner.Whom will they pay my lobola money to? My dad is gone to walk me down the isle.I swear
all this is too much but I don’t want to shoe him how much it hurts me because it excites him to
make me his wife.Besides we already have children outside wedlock so he wants to rectify that

Les: Babe are you even listening to me?
Me: Yes I am love.
Les:We will go for a 1 month honeymoon at Dubai

Me: That would be nice
Les: Trust me we will enjoy
Me: And the kids?
Les: Mom is around
Me: Babe we can’t expect her to take care of the kids.They are a lot to handle
Les: Stop worrying.Mom raised us so it won’t be a problem.

Me: Okay if you say so.
Honestly my kids are still young to be going through all this.
Me: Babe have you ever thought of relocating?
Les: No why?
Me: I just thought maybe we could someday go and live far away from here…Live maybe in
Durban or cape town.Just a place we don’t know anyone..Start new memories with our children

Les: That sound like a good idea.I can even grow the family business.Expand it that side..Babe
you definitely making me think about this.
Jackpot!! I haven’t been here long but already I have bad memories of this place.

Les: But tell me here.Why do you want to go?
Me: Not that I want to but I believe we can get a chance to be a happy family away from all this
bad memories

Les: But my family is here
Me: I’m not saying pack up and go.I was only asking.Stop making it seem like I’m taking you away
from your family.

He stood up and walked to the door.then he stopped and looked at me.
Les: I didn’t say you were but then if the shoe fits wear it.
He walked out.
Argggg.

When I got to the kitchen mom was setting the table

Me: Mom
Mom: I’m done with dinner.Go and call everyone.
Me: Okay.

I went to call Shaz and she was with Ethan so they said they were coming..I called Rudzani and
she followed after me.

Mom: Rudzi come help me with the food.
Rudzi: Okay Ma.

They took the food putting it at the table.
We were all seated.

Rudzani dished up for everyone.
Ethan was about to eat when Rudzi spoke.
Rudzi: Can we please close our eyes so that I pray?
Ethan chuckled

Ethan: Hmmm yeah sure.
Rudzi: Father God I come to you with a humble heart..We thank you for the food we are about to
eat.Bless the hands that prepared them.Father we are still short of our father who is at the hospital
fighting for his life,Please Lord protect him so that he can be amongst us.We pray in the name of
the Father,the Son and the Holy Spirit Amen.
We all said amen the started eating.There was abit of tension between me and Rudzi but we didn’t
let it show infront of everyone..

Ethan: So how are my children? Still giving y’all sleepless nights?

Rudzi: They are growing I guess.No longer that handful.But I believe that it because of the help I get from their grandmother..
Mom smiled.

Mom: I’m their grandmother so it’s my duty to take care of them while I still can..Soon I will not be
able to walk
We laughed.

Me: Mom come on you are still young to be talking like that.

Rudzi: Shaz i hope you are ready because labour pains are nothing like period pains.
Mom: Say what? Are you people trying to make me grow grey hair? Is it a fashion to have kids?
Mom is too dramatic I tell you.We laughed again.

Me: Ma o worse hle. We are growing old..We have to give birth while we still have time.Atleast you
won’t be bored with children running around the house.

Mom: They will be making me look like a fool running after them while they break my plates and
making my house dirty..

Ethan: Women and their tantrums..I bet you will be the one asking for them to come over because
you will be bored with your husband.
5months later
I wish I can say the situation with my father was different but it wasn’t he.He wasn’t opening his
eyes.Mom even lost weight with his situation like this.Ethan and I left BOSS broke.Everything he
had went to his wife and some businesses we took them.My twins were growing very fast.

Rudzi: Babe i promise I will be back.I need to do this alone.

Me: Babe atleast let me drive you there
Rudzi: No Les.You need to stop fussing about me.I will be okay..Its been five months without any
attack from that man so let me go.Otherwise how will you pay lobola if I don’t make peace with
her.

Me: Okay fine.
Rudzani was going to Venda to talk to her mother.I don’t want her to go but she is stubborn and
has a very huge reasoning capacity so I let her be.

She loaded her bags in the mini cooper then drove off.She was leaving the kids behind.
I just wish she didn’t have to go..

BOSS
They thought I was down and out but the revenge of a heart broken man is a ruthless one.What
those boys did to me was too much.Breaking apart my family was a needle to my already bleeding
heart..They shall reap what they sow.
I have been keeping tabs on them..I know that Rudzani was going to Venda and she was not
important.I wanted her to suffer aswel the pain of losing someone she loves.

Me: Get me out of here!!!! Get me out.
I have been locked up in a mental institution..They say I’m crazy.How can I be crazy when I’m only
empty inside.What was done to me was more than what I could carry.I used to cut my wrist every
chance I got.Got myself into fights and sometimes attacked my mom.I was just out of it.They stole
my youth away from me..They have stolen my freedom from me.I swear when I get out of here I will make sure I destroy them
