Sandra had walked back to her hostel, hiding at intervals, whenever, she sees a student to avoid seeing her in a tattered uniform. Her only savior was that most of the students had retired to their hostels and the schools premises was void of students except for few, who had something doing. She moved forward as she solilioquized.

“So Alex would have had his way with me if, not for the appearance of the new guy. God!! Thanks be to you.”

Sandra had reported Alex excesses to the school authority but nothing had been done, as the school authority overlooked the case, with constant promises of looking into the matter, without as much as doing anything. It seems that the more she reports the case the more Alex’s over bearing attitudes was getting to its peak.

FLASHBACK
She had gone to get her assignment book from her locker, when Alex intercepted her on the way. Smiling sweetly and innocently like a prodigal child.

“I’m sorry, for what I did yesterday.” He said smiling in a repentant manner.
ĆAlex, what do you just want from? Why do you want to make my days in this school, so unbearable. Chasing off everyone who cares to associate with me. What have I done to deserve all this from you?” She said almost breaking down.

” I’m doing all this to protect you, from those ruffians in this school. ” He said placatingly.

” Alex, just let me be. Please im begging you in the name of God.” she said yelling out.
” Just hear me, out this last time, and I will let you be.”

“I’m all ears say it and be gone.”
“No, let’s go to that class over there.” He said pointing at an empty class in the JSS3 block.

“ok.”

They had gone to the class and instead of Alex to say something reasonable. He had started behaving strangely touching her all over. He had forced her and was tearing away her clothes. She had screamed telling him to stop this madness.

She had been lucky the new guy as the new guy came in to save her.

She felt an unexplainable feeling brew inside of her a sudden likeness for the new guy.
“I will try to make peace with him. But how?” She muttered.

She suddenly had a thought and fear, untold danger and imminent disaster lurks around,the new guy. Alex would stop at nothing to deal with him. What will she do to remedy the situation?

She brought out her diary and wrote into it as particles of tears, could be seen in her eyes.
Dear Diary,

I think, I have found love, but the road seems bleak. I have a bad feeling, but does he love me too?”

She closed her diary, and was lost in thought. She was really the emotional type.
