Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 67

Dr. Jide calls Obi on the phone to ask what's been going on.
Obi tells him about the riot and threat to burn down the clinic because of the missing blood.
Jide asks if they are all okay.
Obi says for now.
Jide says it's a good thing that Obi has embraced his new status.
He laughs.
Obi tells him it's not a joke as they almost killed Senami.
He accuses Dr. Jide of never being around when it really counts so it's just him (Obi) risking his life, first it was the ritual, then the riot.
Jide says he thought Obi didn't believe in juju.
Obi says he's no longer comfortable with the arrangement.
Jide tells him not to go soft as they are a few months from hitting the jackpot.
Obi says he was never told about pulling off chicken heads and facing a riot.
Jide asks what would be have done about it if he knew.
Obi says he would have left along time ago.
Jide says they will see the plan to the end.

Folake is on the phone with a cab driver asking him to come and pick them.
Senami is packing her things.
Folake says over time she got to know who Senami is and realises she wasn't who she thought.
Senami asks what she thinks.
Folake says she has changed.
Senami says she talked to Obi and he says the chief is taking care of things so maybe they should stay for a bit
She looks at Folake then says maybe they should go considering their beak up.
Folake asks what breakup.
Senami says Obi told her that he and Folake broke up last night.
Folake laughs.

Oviyon returns home and his mother hugs him.
She asks if they touched him.
He says no.
She says she couldn't sleep.
He says he's fine.
She says those things she said at night, she didn't mean them.
He asks what she said.
She asks if he wasn't in his room.
He says he was there but asleep.
She tells him not to worry.
She leaves for the market.

Folake and Obi are outside the lodge.
She tells Obi to pack his things so they can leave.
He says he thinks they should stay a bit and he knows how it is for her considering their break up.
Folake asks when that happened.
He stares at her.
She says Oh those things he said? She knows he didn't mean them.
He says he meant what he said as it's not a good time for him now.
She says he's stressed and he's saying he needs her more than ever and she knows he's not too good at expressing himself but she will be there for him.
He looks like her like she's gone mad.
She's gives him a kiss on the lips then goes inside.
He puts his hands on his head, wondering what he got himself into.

Iya Oviyon gets to the market and doesn't see anyone.
Mama Francis walks up to her.
Iya Oviyon says she knows why the villagers are hiding, it's because they can't face her after they tried to kill her son last night.
Petunia walks up to them and asks why the market is empty.
Iya Oviyon tells her to go and ask her useless husband as the thing coming will fall on both their heads.
Petunia says people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones as it may come back to hit them and and that Iya Oviyon's son that she keeps looking for should be kept at home so she doesn't have to look for him.
Iya Oviyon walks away, clearly upset.

Senami walks into the clinic.
She finds her phone on the floor still intact.
She calls Kingsley and he says he looked everywhere for her and even spoke to her friend but he refused to answer any questions.
She tells him she's fine but she thinks she will stay at Wesere for the night.
He asks if she will come back.
She says she doesn't think so.
He tells her to call him before she leaves and he suggests she can also come to stay at his place as it's safe.

Obi comes to see Otogan to suggest a village meeting where everyone can air their views and Otogan will give a verdict.
Otogan says it's been a long time they had such and he thinks it's time to have another.
Obi asks when was the last one.
Otogan says it was a long time and he shouldn't bother about it.

Seyive comes to the clinic and tells Senami that she has come to take all her things away.
Senami asks if she's upset with her.
Seyive says all that happened was Senami's fault for taking the blood of the villagers and that was the reason why her (Seyive) own sister tried to kill her.
Senami sees the bruises on her arm and asks who did it to her
Seyive walks away.

Oviyon comes to see Peace at home.
She asks if that was how he would have died with the doctor
He says he doesn't want to talk about it.
She says he must really like Senami to be prepared to die for her; she hasn't seen one who likes her like that.

Senami comes with a gift for Peace saying she came to say thank you.
Oviyon says he also came to say thank you as they would have been dead if not for her.
Senami leaves them.

Oviyon asks Peace if she has seen Neza.
Peace tells him to check Neza's house.

Akweyon goes into Iya Minasu's hut and sits down.

Oviyon chases Neza into the bush.
He tells him to finish what he started.
Neza asks what he did.
Oviyon says he almost got him killed.
Neza tells Oviyon to take responsibility for his own life.
They start fighting.
Neza hits Oviyon hard on the head and Oviyon almost chokes him to death but Senami pulls him away.

Fonton comes to see Oviyon's mother at home.
She is surprisingly calm and tells him she wants to check her food.
She goes in to bring out the ingredients for the soup she's preparing.
He asks if she's coming for the meeting.
She says the town crier says everyone has to be there.
He asks if she will talk.
She says she has something to say.
He panics and asks what she will say
She says she will tell them that he tried to kill her child.
He says he will also tell them how she pushed him and forced him to take action.
She says she didn't ask him to do anything and everyone will know he is a fool for taking orders from a woman.
They start trading insults.
She tells him he won't taste out of the food she's making and if he waits she will pour hot water on him.

Neza is by the river.
He pulls a big sack out from the water and it contains the stolen blood.
