Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 72

Folake is updating her blog.
She informs her readers that she will be moving into Chief's house and she will be bringing them gist right from the monarchy.

A crowd gather at the village square to see the empty grave.

Obi is standing outside the palace.
Folake arrives and some guards take her bags inside.
Obi looks confused.

Dr.Jide arrives and asks what's going on.
Folake says Chief asked her to move in.
Jide calls her aside and asks if it's about Chief or Obi.
She asks what he's saying.
He says Obi just had a change of fortunes so it will be misconstrued as a deliberate and desperate attempt to latch onto him by less enlightened minds.
Folake says it's a good thing there is no such person around.
She walks away from him and into the Palace.

At the Corpers' lodge, Senami and Oviyon are asleep on the mattress on the floor in the bedroom.
There is a knock on the door.

Her father opens the door and he's shocked to see them in bed together.
Senami gasps and tries to cover herself properly with the bedsheet.
She tells him he should have knocked.
He says he did and she should have answered.
Oviyon is on the side of the mattress that's close to the wall, clearly embarrassed.

Senami's father asks if she has thought about what he said.
She says now is not the time for that.

He asks how long she and Oviyon have been going on.

Matron Zansi rushes in and tells them the body is gone.
Senami screams and stands up, holding onto the bedsheet.
She is about to rush out.
Her father tells her not to rush.
She picks up her clothes and leaves the room.

Oviyon tries to make himself decent.
Senami's father gives him the death stare.

At the palace, Jide asks Obi why Folake moved in.
Obi says he found out the same time Jide did.
Jide says he doesn't like it at all.
He asks what Obi has done about it.
He tells him to get his Wesere babe back because it won't take long before Folake will start digging into his background.
Obi says he would handle it.

Otogan walks in and asks Obi if he saw Folake moving in.
Obi smiles and says he did.

Senami's father is walking through the village.
Iya Oviyon grabs him by the shirt and asks where her child is.
He tells her to let go.
She calls him a wizard.
He says he didn't do anything to her or her son and he's sorry about what happened but he didn't mean any harm to her husband and she knows it.
He says they both want the same thing, for Senami to leave the village and he has come to take his daughter away.
She asks where her child is.
He says he should be at the village square.
She suggests they go there together.

Petunia brings food for her boys who are working with Fonton at the clinic.

The mysterious guy joins them, not exactly working but sits down, fiddling with his phone.
The boys show him the cooler of food and he sorts of gives them the go ahead, to eat.

The other boys leave the room and he man remains, fiddling with his phone.
Petunia whispers to Fonton that it seems the guy is the leader of the group.

Fonton says he was thinking of using the guys as patrol men for his land.
Petunia asks if that's all he can think to use them for.
He asks what she's thinking.
She tells him to just let her come up with the ideas.

Senami and Oviyon arrive the village square.

Iya Oviyon also arrives and laughs when she sees the empty grave.
Senami accuses her of doing it
She lunges at her but Oviyon holds her back.
Senami says she heard all Iya Minasu said the night of the riot.
Oviyon tries to calm her down but she yells at him.
He accuses her of treating him like the enemy.
He walks away.

Senami father asks if she still wants to stay.

Oviyon sees Peace in a garden.
She tells him that his mother is looking for him.
He says he would deal with her later.
He apologises to her for the time she saw him and his mother arguing.
She says it's okay.
He says he saw her with some drugs.
She says Jonah took her to Wesere to get them.
He says he hopes there is no problem.
She says she just had a test and she's going back there.
He thanks her.
She asks what for.
He says she's a good friend.
He gives her a hug.

The boys are helping Fonton to set up the clinic.
Seyive and matron walk in.
Matron says she can see he's been working.

Senami walks in and says she wants to see Matron.
Fonton asks Senami if they are fighting.
She's gives a cold 'Good morning'.
He says he wanted them to discuss the renovations.
He touches her arm and she gives him a look that makes him take it off immediately, then he says it's his break time and all but bolts out of the clinic.

Seyive tells Senami that she's sorry for the things she said.
Matron tells Senami that not everyone is out to get her, some just don't know better.
Senami asks if she does.
Matron says of course.
Senami asks why she didn't come to the burial then.
Matron says she thinks Senami made the wrong decision and she stands by her decision not to attend the burial.
She says Senami is not the only one with principles; she has been with Senami through it all and Senami is not the only one that has to live with the decision she makes.
As she leaves, she tells Senami not to forget that.

Oviyon comes home and asks his mother if what Senami said was true.
Iya Oviyon says she's not surprised that Senami is the way she is, it's her father getting his reward.
Oviyon asks what that means.
She says Senami is her father's punishment for killing Oviyon's father.
Oviyon tells her to stop blaming people for his father's death.
She says now that Iya Minasu's body has left Aji, his eyes will become clear.
He asks what she knows about the body.
She feigns ignorance.
He says he heard her and if he finds out she knows something...
She asks what the witch has done to him to make him threaten her.
She starts crying without shedding any tears.
He tells her there's no need for her drama.
He asks about what Senami said concerning the riot.
She stops crying and says she only told Fonton what Mausi said would cause trouble.
He asks if she also stole the blood.
She asks if he has heard she stole before.

Otogan asks Obi if he heard what happened last night.
Obi says he was shocked.
Otogan says the people of Aji take a lot of pride in their way of life, nobody can come and disrupt that and expect nothing to happen.
He says it's a good thing that it's just the body missing, it could have been worse.

Senami's father walks into the palace.
Otogan calls him 'George'.
He introduces Obi to him as Miyise.
George is surprised.
Otogan asks if everything is alright.
George says he doesn't know what he's referring to.
Otogan says he was talking about George's father's land and properties.
George says he wants to talk to him alone.

Obi excuses them.

George tells Otogan that he came because of what happened, he knows they have never been friends but they both will agree that Senami has to leave Aji and he wants Otogan to help make sure it happens.
