Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 75

Folake is in the classroom with her pupils.
She is in a bad mood.
She makes a phone call but there is no response.

A pupil comes to inform her that Peace wants her to come to Corper's Lodge

Senami returns to Kingsley's house.
He asks how it went
She says Otogan admitted he had his men kidnap her and dared her to call anyone she likes and he would repeat what he told her.
She asks how she's supposed to feel safe in a place where even the authority wants to get rid of her.
He says that's why he doesn't understand why she didn't go with her father.
She asks if she's going to forget about her grandmother's body and the fact that she was murdered.
He asks how she's going to find the body.
She says she doesn't know but she knows there is so much she needs to find out about her grandmother before she leaves Aji.
He asks why she doesn't move in with him.
She stares at him in surprise.
He says she would feel safe.
She thanks him and asks where the kitchen is.
He says she has to wait till the next meal.
She believes him.
He laughs and says he was only joking.

Obi is lying on the couch at the corpers' lodge, wearing just his boxers.

The maiden who stopped him on the road as he and Folake were walking to work, walks in and tells him that now he has eaten her food she wants to show him something else.
She starts kissing him and they both lie on the couch.

Folakemi walks in and asks what's going on.

Fonton and some villagers walk into the palace and sit down.
Otogan asks why they just walked in and sat without waiting for the permission to do so.
Fonton says it's a serious matter as ever since they blocked his farm at the border from the other village, they have had no security in the village and their houses are getting painted with blood.
Another man says they need protection.
Otogan says he will talk to the Otogan of the other village.
Fonton reminds him that he already did that and it yielded no result.
Doris suggests someone goes with Otogan when he's going to meet the other Otogan.
Another man suggests Fonton goes with Otogan.

The maiden is tying her wrapper.
Folake asks what's going on.
She asks if Obi has no shame to be sleeping with such trash.
Dr. Jide walks in and says he hopes they haven't brought their love issues into his new clinic.
Obi says it's not how it looks.
Folake gives him a hot slap.
Dr. Jide holds her back as she lunges at the maiden.
He tells her to leave and she hurries off.
Folake calls Obi scum.

Dr Jide asks Obi how he could do such a thing.
Obi tries to talk to Folake but she warns him not to dare.
He leaves to go and get dressed.

Dr. Jide tells Folake that he tried to warn her as she knows Obi's type.
She walks out of the room.

The villagers are arguing amongst themselves.
Fonton tells them that they need to show some respect to Otogan.

The men say it has to do with their security and if they see anyone in front of their house, they will kill.
Otogan says nobody will kill anybody.
Iya Francis says there is a need for a neighbourhood watch.
Otogan asks Fonton what happened.
Fonton says he was at the clinic when he heard the people threatening to destroy and kill but as an elder, he persuaded them to follow him to the Palace to report to the Otogan.
He tells Otogan to look at them and see they are not smiling so he needs to provide security for them.
Otogan says he has heard them and the material will be resolved but until then, they can have their neighbourhood watch.
They rejoice.
Fonton tells Otogan that he made the right choice.

Folahan is in Senami's room, crying.
Senami walks in and asks if she's okay.
Folake hugs her and says she's been a fool.
Senami asks if had a fight with Obi again.
Folake says he's just a disgusting person.

Senami starts packing her things.
Folake says she thought they said she moved to Lagos with her dad.
Senami says it's a long story.
Folake asks what's she's doing.
Senami says she's moving in with Kingsley.
Folake says so she's moving without her?
Senami says Folake moved in with her boyfriend without even thinking about her now she's saying this just because she has a fight with her boyfriend and doesn't know where to sleep tonight.
She leaves with her bag.

Folake is by the river sitting on a canoe and thinking of her life.
Oviyon comes to meet her and asks if she has heard from Senami.
Folake tells him to check her in Kingsley's place.
He asks if she's still in Aji.
Folakemi says she saw her when she came to pick her things.

Senami is alone in Kingsley's living room.
She hears a knock and opens the door.
Oviyon walks in and asks if she's surprised.
She says yes.
He says she looks very comfortable.
She asks what it means.
He says he's just saying , considering she never told anyone that she was moving to a man's house.
She asks what that's supposed to mean.
He says she heard him.
She says he doesn't get to take that tone with her.
He asks if she means one of utter disgust and disappointed.
She says she should be the one disgusted because he was nowhere to be found when she was being kidnapped.
He looks concerned and asks who tried to kidnap her.
She says she tried to call him.
He says his mother had his phone.
She says twice now, she needed him and his mother got in the way.
He asks if that's why she moved into a man's house.
She says it's the safest place for her seeing as the entire village including his mother tried to kill her.
He asks what she's saying.
She tells him not to act surprised

Fonton returns home and Petu asks him how it went at the palace.
Fonton says Otogan agreed.

Petu starts dancing.
She says work has started and they will show the people of the village.
Fonton looks around the house and says the place is different.
There is new furniture.

In a corner of the room is a bucket of what looks like red paint.
It appears that was what was used to paint the villagers' doors.
Petu says she would use it to prepare Zobo.

Oviyon tells Senami that his mother is sick and can't even harm a chicken.
Senami says she is not sick; he saw what she did at the funeral.
She says after what happened on the night of the riot, she wouldn't be surprised if his mother has the blood stashed in her room or if she killed her grandmother.
Oviyon asks if she can hear herself; the only reason his mother left home was to protect him.
Senami says the reason his mother didn't burn down the clinic herself was because he was there.
Oviyon says if Senami doesn't go around antagonising everyone in the village and acting like she's better than them, they wouldn't want her dead.
She says if only he had sorted his issues in Lagos instead of hiding in the village and taking care of a woman who's clearly healthy enough to plan her death.

Kingsley walks into the living room and stands in a corner, watching them.

Senami says whatever happens between them, his mother will always be an angel to him so she thinks they've said enough.
She opens the door and ushers him out even as he tries to plead with her.
She shuts the door and turns to face Kingsley who is wearing a satisfied smirk.
