Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 76

Oviyon returns home and his mother is happy to see him.
She rushes to the kitchen to bring him food.
He asks how she could get involved; they wanted to kill him and she was involved.
She says she didn't do as much as he's accusing her of.
He says she should be serving the punishment along with Fonton.
She says she only told them what Mausi said.
He says he was there and she almost killed them.
She says she's sure that girl has filled his head.
He says Senami said if he wasn't there, she would have set fire to the place herself..
She admits that if he wasn't there, she would have killed Senami.
He asks if she can hear herself.
She puts her hand on his shoulder and he slaps it off.
She asks if he hit her, his own mother?
He walks out.



Kingsley pours Senami a glass of liquor and makes her drink it.
He asks what her plan is and if she's going back to the clinic.
She says she is not sure what her plan is but she won't go back to the clinic.
He says she can come work with him in his medical supply business.
She says she would need to get approval from NYSC.
He says they would get whatever she needs.


Folake packs her bags out of the lodge.
Obi tries to talk to her but she ignores him and walks out.


Dr. Jide takes the NYSC zonal inspector to the clinic and tells him that work is ongoing.
The zonal inspector asks when it will be ready.
Dr. Jide says he can't say yet and Dr. George even abandoned them.

Matron Zansi walks up to them and Dr. Jide introduces her to the zonal inspector.


Folake is walking past the clinic with her luggage.
Dr Jide calls her.
He introduces her to the new zonal inspector.
Folake is not interested.
The zonal inspector, Michael Ejoor, tells her to gather her colleagues so they can all have a meeting at the Chief's palace.
Folake continues on her journey.


Oviyon is standing by the river.
He hears a child screaming from inside the river.
A little boy grabs his shirt and calls out to him to help his friends who are drowning.
Oviyon stands there, transfixed.


Petunia is in the market.
The little boy who grabbed Oviyon's shirt earlier runs to the middle of the market and falls down, crying about his drowning friend.
The women ask him who the person is and he says it's Pariola.
All the women rush to the river.

Petunia waits behind and places a call to the mysterious man who is known as 'Half-a-day'.
She tells him a child is drowning in the river.
He sends his boys.


At the palace, Obi tells Otogan that Folake left.
Otogan asks if he has called his parents.
Obi says the time difference is a problem as they are abroad.
Otogan says they will call them tonight which will be afternoon for them over there.
Obi tries to come up with another excuse but Otogan insists they will call.

Dr. Jide brings the zonal inspector into the Palace.
The zonal inspector tells Obi to call his colleagues on the phone and invite them over for a meeting.
Dr Jide whispers to Obi that he made a good move with Folake by sending her away.
Obi says he did what Dr. Jide wanted.
He goes outside to make the phone calls.

Otogan assures the zonal inspector that things are fine.
The zonal inspector asks if he has told that to the corpers.
Otogan says they are children.
Michael says they are not children.
Otogan says he has punished the people responsible for the riot and his son was also one of the people affected but everything is fine now.


The villagers get to the river.
Half-a-day's men rescue 2 little boys who are now unconscious.
Fonton stands on the bank, watching.
They asks Oviyon why he just stood by and did nothing.
Oviyon looks like he has been in a trance.
He comes out of it, picks up his sandals and leaves.


Senami and Folake come to the Palace.
The zonal inspector, Michael, takes all 3 corpers outside and tells them he's been assured of their safety.
Folake scoffs.
Michael tells them that he can help them if you want to redeploy.
Senami says she's staying.
Michael says he heard she abandoned her work at the clinic.
She says the clinic is a wreck.
He says if they choose to stay then they have to work; he knows what they've been through is tough so he will leave it to them but they need to let him know their decision.


Fonton and Petu are back home.
Fonton thanks Petu.
Petu tells him to just continue to follow her directives.

There is a knock on the door.
Petu goes to see who it is.
She returns to say it's Pariola's mother and she wants to see him.

Fonton goes out to meet her.
She thanks him and offers him gifts.


At night, Fonton comes to Neza's house.
He doesn't find him there so he stands outside wondering where he can be.

He hears children singing.

He looks around to see if he can find anyone.
