Movie Story: Jemeji - Season 1 - Episode 77

Obi hurries out of the palace early in the morning.
He's watching his back as he goes.

He gets a call from Otogan who asks if he's okay because he snuck out like a thief.
Obi says he wants to go and help out at the makeshift clinic.
Otogan asks about the phone call to his parents.
Obi says he will do it in the evening.
Otogan says it's very important and he will be unhappy if it doesn't happen.

Petunia brings food to the clinic.
She meets Fonton sitting outside, looking troubled.
She asks how the work is going.
He ignores her.
She calls out to the guys and one of them comes out..
She gives him the cooler and asks for his co-workers.
He says they will be arriving soon.
He leaves with the food.

Petunia asks Fonton what's going on.
Fonton says with all the work they've done so far at the clinic, they haven't gone anywhere because he's supposed to also supply the equipment.
He reads out a list of all the equipment the clinic requires.
He says he thought the girl's mother would bring something tangible but she brought just palm wine.
Petu says with what he's done so far, he can do the rest but he needs to use his eyes and brain.
He tells her to stop talking in parables and get straight to the point.
She tells him to stop yelling at her.
She gives him his food and he starts eating.

Dr. Jide is at the makeshift clinic in the Corper's lodge with a patient.
Folake comes to sees him.
They go into a room to talk.
He says he hopes everything is fine.
She asks him how long the makeshift clinic would go on for.
He says till the actual clinic is done.
He asks if there is a problem.
She says she doesn't like patients trooping in to where she lives.
He says she just needs to say the word and he would look for an alternative for her.

Matron comes to get him as a patient just collapsed.

Petunia runs into Half-a--day and one of his boys as she's leaving the clinic.
Half-a-say asks if there is a problem.
Petu says she's tired of all the wahala.
They assure her that they are there for her.
She says she doesn't know how she and Fonton would be able to get the equipment needed in the clinic.
Half-a-day says he and his boys can help if Petu and Fonton are willing to play ball.

Seyive comes to see Senami at Kingsley's Place.
She tells her that the clinic has been temporarily moved to the corper's lodge.
Senami says she's aware.
Seyive says matron hasn't called her to work so she doesn't know if she has been sacked.
Senami says it's just a makeshift arrangement and she's sure she would be called back when the clinic is ready.
Seyive asks if sSenami would be resuming as well.
Senami says she's not sure.
Seyive is surprised.

When Seyive leaves, Senami receives a phone call from Oviyon.
She says she's fine.
He says he doesn't like not being able to talk to her and he would want to meet up to talk things over.
She says she would let him know when she's free.

Folake runs into Dr Jide again at the lodge.
She asks if there is anything she can help him with.
He says there is nothing.
He asks why she's back and not at Chief's Place.
She says something happened.
He asks if it was something or someone.
She goes into a tirade about how Obi thinks he can act as she likes because he's Chief's son.

He offers to buy her lunch.
She says he doesn't have to.
He says it's the least he can do for invading on her privacy.
She thanks him and goes in to change her clothes.

Kingsley joins Senami in the living room.
He asks how she's been.
She says she's fine.
He says he heard voices.
She says Seyive came to see if she still had a job and to find out if she would still come back to work.
He asks what she told her.
She says she told her she didn't know but she has thought about it, if his offer is still open, she would take it.
He asks when she wants to begin.
She says she would have to sort things out with her zonal inspector first but she can start learning the ropes.
He says he hopes she doesn't feel pressured.
She says this is what she wants.

Folake and Dr. Jide are returning from their night out.
They are laughing as Folake recounts a funny incident.
She thanks Dr. Jide.
He says it's nothing.
He asks if she's not scared staying alone.
She says she used to be but not anymore.

Neza is alone in the hut.
He looks across the line to Akweyon's side for food.
He hears her coming and quickly moves back to his side.
She brings food for the two of them and gives him his share.
As he starts to eat, she cleans off the chalk line with her foot.

Folake and Dr. Jide are in the lodge.
Folake says the lodge has never been this quiet.
Dr. Jide says the good news is she has some privacy all to herself and she can be up to some mischief.
She tells him not to tease her.
He says he can say the same thing about her.
She asks what he means.
He says he knows she feels the same way about him as he has been reading her loud and clear all night.
She says he's getting the wrong idea.
He grabs her and starts kissing her.
She pushes him off.
He says he thought they agreed to stop teasing; he has been waiting for this for so long.

He unbuckles his belt and shoves her hard on the couch.
She picks a bottle and breaks it on his head then she picks up her phone and his and runs into a room.
She locks herself inside.

He holds his head and begs her to give him his phone.
Folake calls his wife and tells her to warn her useless husband to stop harassing her o; it's not by force to be his girlfriend.

She slides the phone back to him from under the door.
He asks if she called his wife.
He says she has crossed the line and he will make sure she pays for it till the very last coin.
He swears it's just the beginning.
