Kaveri calls Aunty Kaki on the phone. She tells her to go to Nahar and tell him all that happened between Saloni and Tara at the prayers. She threatens that if she doesn't do it, she will make sure she “gets her sight back at Diwali”.

The family is gathered in the living room. Saloni comes with a bag of gifts. She gives everyone a gift. Tara takes hers, thanks her, drops it on the table quickly then tell them all to come for prayers. Tara is giving back attitude now....Was bound to happen.

Kavery calls Kaki again. She threatens her some more. Kaki has entered one chance with Kaveri.

The family is in the prayer room. Tara is in charge of prayers. She teases the brothers about coming early for prayers. They start to joke but when Nahar tries to bring Saloni in, Tara and Aditi act cold. Saloni is getting the ‘mean girls’ treatment.

Vrinda is making a design on the floor. Saloni pays her a compliment then Tara and Aditi come in, they compliment Vrinda and say no one has made such a lovely design before. This is to make Saloni jealous because she has been the one making the design in the past. Tara tells Vrinda she would like a shirt ironed and Vrinda says she would do it after making the design. Saloni tells her to go and she would help finish the design. Aditi tells Saloni that the job is beneath her, being such a huge star and all. She tells Vrinda to continue making the design and she would get the shirt ironed. She walks away with Tara and Saloni is almost in tears.

Saloni is outside crying. Babho comes to meet her and thanks her for listening to her and not starting any drama over diwali. She says she always knew Saloni was still there.

Kaveri calls Kaki again and threatens her. Aunt Kaki starts to think of how she can get rid of Kaveri.

Dheer's son is begging his parents for fireworks . They tell him they can’t get him some. The houseman comes in with a carton and tells them it was delivered for Ishan. They open it and it is full of fireworks.
In the middle of the night, aunt Kaki sneaks into Ishan's room to light the fireworks and runs off. The room is on fire and Ishan starts to scream.

The entire family gathers downstairs and as they stand watching the burning doorway, aunt Kaki makes her way into the room and rescues Ishan.

When she comes out, Brajesh accuses her of lying that she is blind when she can really see. He gets very angry with her and tells her what she has done cannot be forgiven. She begs them and says their uncle threw her out of the house after she had caused havoc in the lives of his nephews. She said in seeing Ishan in the fire, her fear of betrayal was nothing compared to saving his life so she had to save him. This woman can lie for Africa..abi na Asia.

She goes to pack her things and says she's going, Aditi begs her not to leave, Dheer also joins in telling her not to go.
Saloni says what Kaki did was good but there may be a conspiracy behind it all. Brajesh tells her to stay. Her planned worked perfectly.

Kaveri comes to the house, planning to expose Kaki. She says she came to wish them a happy Diwali. She starts to talk about Kaki and how she is unable to see all the lights of the festival. Kaki comes out and offers Kaveri a snack; she points at the one she wants her to take and even compliments her hair. Kaveri is dumbfounded.
Aditi tells Kaveri that Kaki is fine and her eyesight is good. The family leaves and Kaki turns to Kaveri. She makes Fun of Kaveri. One point for Kaki and zero for Kaveri.

Kaveri gets home and Samar is lighting the fireworks. She remembers the accident Samar had the previous year and she gets scared. She starts to cry and beg him not to light the fireworks. He agrees. Somewhere in that chest of hers, Kaveri really does have a heart, albeit, a tiny one.

The ladies are gathered in the kitchen. Saloni tells Vrinda to go and get nutmeg so she can make the porridge she usually makes. Aditi tells her she already made porridge and she doesn't need to bother with anything. Tara tells her to go and rehearse. These ladies are ready for you now Saloni.

Samar's father is complaining to him that he has never celebrated Diwali without his wife. He hears her voice. They get up and hug her. She says she was thinking about everyone and she doesn't want Saloni alone during her pregnancy.

Kaveri is about to talk about Saloni but Samar stops her.
He takes her to the room and tells her not to say anything to their mum.

In Saloni's marital home, the family is saying prayers. Tara is in charge. After the prayers, Saloni picks up the tray of candles and says she wants to go and put them round the house. Tara takes it from her and tells her it is not her duty. Choi Saloni! You just have to bear it.
