Story Of Addition (Love Story) - Season 2 - Episode 67

I left the kitchen after ending my conversation with her and went straight to my bed room. I got to my room and I was about to lay flat on my bed when I remember that I got an envelope from Adedoyin and sarah the other day at bluetop hotel. I reached out for my trouser which I wore to blue top hotel yesterday; I know the envelope was still inside;
I remember that I never removed it from the pocket before I slept off that day because I was so tired and very weak. I brought out the envelope and checked the content inside it. Just like I have known; its money quite alright. I began to count it one after another until I discovered the amount. Its 100 pieces of one thousand naira note which make the total money a 100 thousand naira. I also remember that Sarah said she will be sending something to my account by Monday when the bank opens. I decide to dial her number to check up on both of them and to thank them again because I have already thanked them in the afternoon when Sarah called me during the time Motunrayo was around. I dialed her number and she couldn’t pick at first until I redialed it the second time.

Me: (smiling) hello dear

Sarah: (yawning) hello femi, how are you doing
my dear. I can see she just wake up from sleep.

Me: (smiling jokingly) I am doing very fine ma, how are you doing too?

Sarah: (smiling) hmmmm, I am very fine dear; I have been sleeping for a while now. It’s your call that wake me up

Me: (smiling). Sorry, hope am not disturbing you

Sarah: (smiling) No dear, I think I have rest
enough. It’s good that you wake me because
I have some things to do concerning our travelling this night. Thank you femi.

Me: (smiling). You are welcome dear, I am glad I call you then. How is Adedoyin?

Sarah: (smiling) she is fine; she left my place not quite long before I sleep. She has to go somewhere to see some of her client.

Me: (smiling) okay, I am just calling to thank you guys again for the envelope you gave me yesterday. I just check the content now. Thank you very much dear

Sarah: (smiling). That is nothing femi, you shouldn’t have bother to thank us for that little tip; remember I said I will be sending something to your account on Monday?

Me: (very excited) yes I remember dear.

Sarah: (smiling) just wait till Monday and see how you are going to be surprised.

Me: (feeling very happy inside). Thanks Dear, I appreciate you.

Sarah: (smiling) what are you thanking me for again?

Me: (smiling). Just for everything and the promise you are making me. I really appreciate you for everything.

Sarah: (smiling) you don’t have to thank me for anything femi. You know I love you from my heart, and I can do anything for you. If not that this travelling is very important and it’s all about business I would have stayed behind because of you or better still take you with us but the issue of your parents is there so we can do but nothing about it.

Me: (smiling) I know dear, and I understand everything. You know I love you too very much but…. She didn’t allow me to conclude my speech before she cut me short. My initial agenda was to brain wash her head again with my sweet words in other to make her happy before she cut me off my speech. The next statement she said got me off track a little but I quickly reason in my head to give her a better reply to convince her more.

Sarah: (smiling jokingly) hmmmmmn, remember you said you love both me and Adedoyin together equally o.

Me: (low voice) but you should know I only said that because Adedoyin was there, and you should remember that you are the one that said I should play along with you guys. I was only following your instructions.

Sarah: (sounding a bit convinced and remorseful). I am sorry femi, so tell me, who do you now love between us

Me: (smiling now) who else do you think? You of course, I love you more than even my own mother. Your love is so pure and unique in my heart.

Sarah: (blushing). hmmmmmn. Femi your mouth is too sweet; you have already begun to make my head swell now. And I am blushing too. Your words always know how to take their effects on me.

Me: (smiling) do you now believe me that I love you more than Adedoyin?

Sarah: (smiling) of course, yes I believe you and
I love you too. I can’t ever forget what you did to help me by playing along with Adedoyin and also requesting her to help me in my project. I appreciate you very much for everything my love

Me: (smiling while feeling very happy and excited now). You don’t have to thank me my sweetheart, let’s give all the thanks to God. I just want you guys to go and come back safely to meet me here also in good health.

Sarah: (smiling). Thank you femi. I love you.

Me: (smiling) I love you too my dear. We finally ended the call after a long time. I checked my account balance and my credit remain just 55naira. It’s not enough credit to call bidemi again so I thought of calling her later when I buy credit or better still meet her in church tomorrow because tomorrow is Sunday. I was feeling very hungry so I decided to go and check funmilayo in the kitchen. She was done with the amala but the soup was not yet ready.
I went back to my room and checked the time. The time was already 7:50, just ten minutes to 8. I decide to lie down on my bed as I await the food to be ready. I kept thinking about the whole events of the day; the issue with motunrayo, the advice baddoo gave me and other stuffs about my life until I heard my father’s car horn from outside beckoning on somebody to come and open the gate for him;
The next thing I heard was the sound of Baddoo opening the gate for him from inside. I was still in my room when my mum came back too. I decided to go and greet both my parents when funmilayo brought my food. I told her to drop the food inside while I thank her very much after hailing her as my good wife. I went to greet my Dad in his room and he asked me some questions about my home coaching and how am preparing for my waec gce exam. My father only asks questions like that once in a while even though he is a very strict man. I make sure I gave him accurate answers to his questions before I proceed to go and greet my mum in her room. I got to her room and I greeted her after giving her a peck on the cheek. Then we stared up a brief conversation.

Me: (smiling) good evening mummy.

Mummy: (smiling) good evening my dear boy,
how was your day?

Me: (smiling) my day was fine ma, and yours?

Mummy: (smiling) mine too was also fine my
dear, it was just a bit stressful.

Me: (sorry face) eyah, sorry ma.

Mummy: thank you my dear.

Me: where did you go to today?

Mummy: (smiling) I went to a lot of places; from a friend party, to supermarket, then I later branched at the Adeboye’s house this evening when I was coming to check on how daddy kike is doing. Immediately I heard my mum mentioned that she branched at the Adeboye’s house my heart skip for a minute,
I remember the lie I told Bidemi was that me and my mummy would be going to see Chidinma who was very sick at her place today, but my mum didn’t even know about chidinma’s illness for the day not to talk of her absence. And I was even thinking of lying to her that chidinma came around today in case she asked me if she comes today or not before she now suddenly tell me this story am hearing. I wonder if bidemi has now know the truth that I lied to her about going to chindima’s place with my mum; am sure she would have asked my mum about it if she truly go to their house today. As a calculative guy I had to let my mum conclude her speech before I could say another word

Me: (trying not to show my fear). So, how is he and the adeboye’s family?

Mummy: I only met mummy kike at home, she said that her husband has gone out with some people and your father before I got there.

Me: (faking a smile not to show my fear but I was still in a state of agitation). Ooh that is good to hear, that means he is now better.
What of bidemi, do you see her around?

Mummy: I didn’t meet her at home. Her mother said she sent her some things in the market but she couldn’t come back until I left the place. My very high temperature and uneasy mind totally came to rest immediately I heard that; once again my secret is kept (praise the lord). I felt so happy and lucky because bidemi couldn’t see my mum at their place or else I may not be able to handle her next trouble if she gets to know I lied to her again. I don’t want to prolong the conversation any further so I decide to greet my mummy good night and leave before she call me back to inform me what will happened tomorrow with the Adeboye’s family at church.

Mummy: (smiling) look here femi. I waited patiently to listen to what she has to say.

Mummy: (still smiling) the church is hosting a thanks giving service for the Adeboye’s family tomorrow. The thanks giving service is to thank God for the life of Mr. Adeboye and how God miraculously deliver him from food poisoning and untimely death, so all of us and our family must be in church very early tomorrow morning to thank God on the adeboye’s family behalf. Make sure you wake up earlier to meet up with it o okay because you are the only one that wake up late in this house

Me: (smiling) okay ma. I won’t miss it for the world. I couldn’t wait a few seconds after saying my last word to my mum before I dashed out of her room and went straight to mine. The hunger I was feeling inside is so great to concede in. I need to go and battle my Amala with egusi soup and meat which was already waiting patiently for me in my room before hunger go kill me. I finally got to my room with my very hungry stomach. I couldn’t wait long before I started to consume the plate of amala and egusi soup with meat in the plate but I still have it in mind to call bidemi before I sleep. I call on funmilayo while I was still eating and I ask her to take 1000 naira from my wallet to buy me 500 naira worth of airtime and she took the money and left immediately. But her reaction when she saw a huge amount of money in my wallet when she was about to take the 1000 naira note make me know she was surprised that I have that lots of money but she couldn’t ask me where I get the money from. It took me some times before I finished eating because the food was so delicious; funmilayo can cook no be lie. I finished eating and after I was done I packed the plates to the kitchen awaiting the arrival of funmilayo who came back with the 500 naira recharge card and 500 naira change not quite long after that. I complimented her again for the food and I ask her to keep the change for herself as offering in tomorrow’s service before I load the recharge card to my phone. She thanked me very much before she left my room. I dialed bidemi’s number for two times and it was ringing but she refused to pick. I wonder why she couldn’t pick her call at around 9:30pm at night. I decide to call her like two times again but she didn’t pick until the fifth time, then I noticed it was not her that picks the call, it was someone else. I was about to drop the call because I thought I dialed a wrong number when I heard the voice clearly.
It was kikelomo that was talking to me from the other side of the phone. (Wetin she dey do at home when she supposed to dey for school)
