She sobbed, i held her close telling her how sorry i am. I expected her to slap or shake her hands off, but was surprise to her calm.

She was hurt by my reaction, No doubt, she still loved me. ”Am sorry” i kept whispering to her.

She loosend up from me and sat on the bed.
“i know you are angry with me cause of the trailing stuff, but i swear i wasnt among the plan, my dad, mum and james were the brain behind it.” she said curling up her fingers.

I had question to asked her but kept quiet.

Was she not the one that threatened me on the phone when i call? She saw the question in my eyes and answered.
“as for the call, the time you called, james, dad and me where having a discussion. I didnt want to pick it since i dont accept call from strange numbers. I was so shocked to hear your voice, i thought you had died” she stopped talking, taking my hands in hers.
“peace said you were in canada then how come your dad and james were…”
“peace told you that? Why would she lie?” she asked, her face expressing shock.
“so you werent in canada?” i asked in surprise too.
“canada? Doing what? Has lagos turned canada?” she asked shrugging her shoulders.
“that what she said” i said. Now the question is “why would she lie?”.
“so you mean your dad influenced your answers?” i asked trying to change topic.
“ya yes” she said squeezing my fingers.

Although i didnt held any grudges against her, i forgave her for nothing. I thought as much, how can chiyere plan such a thing?

We sat on the bed, i wanted to speak but only my lips were moving, my brain fell to comply, i was shut of words, didnt know what to say, i guess she too lack what to say. The only means we communicated where through our hands and eyes. We stared at each other intently.

“i want to ask you a question” she said in a serious tone. “what that?” i asked anxiously.
“do you still love me like you used to” she asked.

I laughed “is that a question?” i asked.
“ill take that as a yes.” she said i nodded.

“One more thing” she added. “what that” i asked.
