“it’s okay,” I smiled at him.
“You don’t have to touch me.”
“What?” he asked searchingly. I didn’t answer his question,
Instead pushed at his
shoulders which made him move back, allowing me to comfortably stand in front of him. His hands reached out to touch me but I held up my finger and shook it as if telling him no. He smiled, bigger than I had ever seen him smile before.
