….I was through with lectures for the day, i was tired, i was weak but i couldn’t get one thing off my mind. The threats of the White Angels!….Will they make good their threats, i began to ponder, scared and afraid for my dear life. I was a FOOL to have trust Tonia, i thought she was a good girl, i thought she was a nice girl, well i was wrong, i was fooled, i felt betrayed. I can’t leave this school now, i can’t run away from my dreams, i have started already and now i must finish it. If i go to the school authorities, what will be of me? Will they believe my story? Will the school authorities bail me out. Oh God, what mess have i gotten myself, i never wished for this to happen, me, join a cult, over my dead body….

I haven’t moved for long when i looked ahead and lo and behold, i saw T-Baby, Tonia and 5 girls,i guess they are White Angels and they are here to make life miserable for me, am not a coward, i will not run away, i will face them…After all, we only live to die once.

T-Baby: “Well, well, well….who do we have there”


Queen: “Look T-Baby, i don’t want any trouble. I just want to go home”


T-Baby: “And who is stopping you from going home”


Queen: “Good then…please excuse me”
(I wanted to create space for myself to pass but they refused to open us, instead blocking my every move. before i knew what was happening, T-Boss pushed me aside)

T-Baby: “My friend get back, you dey craze abi you chop witch…choo”


Queen: “Please T-Baby, lemme just pass and go my way. I don’t want any trouble please”


T-Baby: “Na me come want trouble, look at the b---h. U dey mad abi you well so. You are not going anyway today until you become part of us”


Queen: “But i thought you gave me time to think bout it. You said few days, why now?”….I said, feeling scared and fearing for my life

T-Baby: “Well i change my mind. You are joining us today whether you like it or not”


Queen: “Please don’t do this to be, i beg of you, please just let me go, please”….


Tonia: “T-Baby, wait make i follow the babe yarn. She fit listen to me”


T-Baby: “Do fast fast, no waste time at all, we go balm her today today….choo, hey Miss Li, give me cigarette make i light jaree”


Tonia: “Queen, just take a look at you, fine girl like you, see as you fine reach, come be Virgin kwa. U don dey mess up anyhow. If no be say i like you eeh, your body for don carry better marks everywhere. See Queen, time is not on your side now, you are no longer a kid, for crying out loud you are 24. Its best you agree to be part of us now or you risk the consequences alone”


Queen: “So you really want me to be part of your cult….to be part of White Angels?”


Tonia: “Yes…you have to”


Queen: “I thought you were my friend, i thought you were a good friend, i even took you as my sister, and this is what i get in return, BETRAYAL! Oh God, why me, why me please. I hate you Tonia, i curse the day i met you”


Tonia: “Are you in or not? Enough of the drama”
(There was a long silence, i was trying to contemplate on what next to do)


T-Baby: “Tonia….how far, is she ready now cos i no get time na” She said in a loud voice


Tonia: “Its now or never Queen….am waiting”


Queen: “Okay….i agree, i will join you girls, i will join the White Angels but not now, tonight”


Tonia: “Good…you’ve made the right choice. I assure you that you won’t regret a thing”
(Tonia turned and faced T-Baby)


Tonia: “She has decided to join us”
(The other girls, being part of the White Angels celebrated)


T-Baby: “You made the right decision girl, welcome to the White Angels Confraternity. Tonight you shall be part of us, we will come and fetch you tonight and don’t try to play smart with us or you will regret it”


Tonia: “Tonight then….bye Angel”
(They all left me alone, i was scared, i was visibly shaking, oh God i hope i have made the right decision)

Oh God, the clock is ticking fast, they will be here any moment from now! What do i do now, who do i go to for help. What will turn out for me if i eventually join the White Angels. Will my life turn out to be a mess, oh God, why me, please help me…I got down on my knees and said the lord prayer, as i finished praying, something come to my mind, should i do it? The voice inside me keeps telling me to do so, Maybe God is trying to find a solution for me, I will do it, i will do what my mind tells me…
