~ This same hotel again? Something is definitely wrong somewhere. I must ask him, i must ask Ken…

Queen: “Ken, why this hotel again? Please lets go somewhere else?”

Ken: “Have you been here before?” He said and looked straight into my eyes

Queen: “Not at all… But, it, it just that there is nothing fancy here about this hotel” I lied to him

Ken: “Look madam, here is the best hotel in town. Its either Arena hotel or nothing else”

Queen: “Whatever…shall we?”

Ken: “Yes ma”

……Why is he calling me madam? Or was he sent by someone? On our way to the hotel he was mute, except for introducing himself to me. He was only interested in his driving and doesn’t seem to be in the mood to chat as well so i also kept to myself….Quickly we arrived at the hotel reception, i was expecting him to book a room but we passed the receptionist without stopping or saying a word to them. I wonder where he is taking me to?’ I said within me…We climbed the stairs, we were already on the first floor, then we passed the rooms one by one- Room 34, room 35, room 36, room 37, room 38, room 39…This is getting scary now, i wanted to run but then it dawned on me to hold on but why room 39?…Is there no other room. This is strange indeed. Ken knocked on the door once, opens it, he smiled at me and said;

Ken: “Don’t be afraid, please come in?”

I hesitated, perhaps thinking of the next thing to do. Should i go in or not? I found myself being jaded with different thoughts. I brought this upon myself, guess i will to face the consequences alone…I nodded in affirmation to Ken’s word!

Queen: “Okay”….

I went in and saw someone lying down on the bed with the TV remote glued to his hand…oh God, not again!

Ken: “Miss…this is Mr Franklyn Okolie, he is my boss, he wants to spend the night with you. I hope that you will satisfy him well enough. About your payment, you will get it once you are done. Bye ma” He smiled and left the room

Another Old man! All my clients are always old. I thought that Ken was the man that i would be spending the night with, but here i am, trapped all alone with this old for nothing sake. Oh dear, hope he will just pay me without touching me, that way, i will still preserve my body for the younger clients!!!

Mr Franklyn: “What’s on your mind young lady…are you alright?”

He said, fixing his gaze at me

Queen: “Am fine sir…please lets just get to work so that i can leave early enough”

Mr Franklyn: “I see…Please bolt the door for me if you don’t mind”….

Bolt the door? Does he want to rape me or what? He dare not try such or else he will regret ever seeing me.

Queen: “Yes Sir”

Mr Franklyn: “Thank you my child”

….’My Child’ Is he my father? I did as he instructed me to, i closed the door, getting ready for the next piece of action.

Mr Franklyn: “Sit beside me?”

Queen: “Sit beside you?”

Mr Franklyn: “Yes or are you scared of me Miss Chioma Queen Olisa”

Queen: “How, how did you know my name?”

I was terrified….i wanted to pee on my body! He looked at me and continued….

Mr Franklyn: “I had known you even before you were born. I know all about you, how you were raped, how you planned on ruining your life but the word of God says; ‘When the Lord is for you, no man can be against you’. I know that you have been through a lot in this life but the word of the lord says that ‘In every situation that you find yourself, always give thanks to Him”

Queen: “Are you an ANGEL OF GOD?”

I asked him, i was trembling already, i had never encounter an ANGEL of God before and here i am, maybe standing before one. He looked at me and smiled!

Mr Franklyn: “I was sent by God to you..do not be afraid, no harm shall befall you my child! In this physical realm, i am here as an old man but in the spiritual realm, i am an ANGEL of the most high. The God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob oh Israel. The lord has heard your cries and he has sent me to make you smile again. The old men before me were ANGELS like me, If not for them, you would have been dead by now. You would have been used for rituals but the Lord took pity on you and delivered you”

….I was shocked, i kneeled on the floor, bow my head down and worship him….

Mr Franklyn: “Please do not worship me, i am but only a messenger of God, you should worship him and not me. Don’t ever doubt the existence of the Lord, he reigns forever and nothing can stop his glory from shining on his beloved ones.You have found favor in the sight of God, the Lord loves you so much and he want to make you a great person and a light in your family and village as well”

….I looked at him, his face was as bright as the star. So its true, indeed i have encountered an ANGEL OF GOD. Who am i that the Lord Almighty should be mindful of me, a nobody like me…

Mr Franklyn: “My dear, Trial and Tribulation will surely come our way but if you can endure till the end just like Job the servant of God did, you will surely triumph. I have good news for you, your phone is off right?”

Queen: “Ye, yes sir”

Mr Franklyn: “Switched it on now and you shall receive a call now”

Without much hesitation, i quickly switched on my phone, after about two minutes, it rang and it was no other than Tonia calling me at that hour… I looked at the Angel of God, he beckoned at me to go ahead and answer my call…

Tonia: “Queen, what happened? I have been trying your number since today”

Queen: “Hi Tonia…am sorry, i switched it off so as not to be disturbed by anyone”

Tonia: “Okay, no problem. Erm, do you do know Bro David na? That one that schooled at UNIZIK and travelled to America not quite long”

Queen: “Oh yes Bro David….is he back from America?”

Tonia: “No…but he called me to tell you that he has been trying your number and that it wasn’t going through. He said that he has good news for you. So please make sure that your number is always available cos he might call you anytime soon. One more thing, i will transfer 80,000 naira to your account first thing in the morning so that you can use it for your school project okay. Sorry for delaying it my friend”

Queen: “No problem Tonia…Thank you very much. May the good Lord that i serve bless you abundantly”

Tonia: “And you too my sister. I will have to go now, will call you later in the day, you can see that its almost 12:40am in the morning. And please, be available for Bro David call okay. Bye Queen”

Queen: “Okay Tonia…bye and good night”

Tonia: “Yea, you too”

Then she hangs up! I looked at the man sitting beside me, he was smiling, then he continued from where he stopped….
