My phone rang to the rhythmic tune of Davido – Blow my mind I look up the caller, it was Carthy my elder sister. What?? This is unusual, I picked up at once.

Me: Hello big sis, i said as i figured rowdy noise at the background of her own end of the call.

Carthy: Joshua!! She called out in panic. Where are you?

Me: Am at school carthy what’s wrong why is your voice like this?

Carthy: It’s mom and dad, she said finally bursting into tears.

Me: what is wrong with them, i said as my heart pricked.

Carthy: Dad was shot at the office today, and some unknown gunmen invaded our house and took mom away, she said confirming my fear.

Me: what? Where are you now, i said confused i was totally disorganized.

Carthy: I am at home, preparing to go and meet dad at the hospital, they have him admitted at the intensive care unit, in the hospital where he works.

Me: oh great am coming now, in fact am already on my way, i said and dropped the call, I went out in search of potoki, i told him what had happened, and he volunteered to follow me. And we soon entered the car and zoomed off to my family house at Iwinna.
