Memories Of Cupid - Season 1 - Episode 62

Thanatos walked to his brother and whispered something to his ear. Hades smiled and nodded. They were twins and sure knew how to play around with each other.

“So, the Fates weren’t angry?” Thanatos asked as he raised an eyebrow and downed a cup of ambrosia.

“Well, I received them right here in the castle the very day I did that and I explained to them she was giving me a tough time and it was affecting my kingly duties. They even asked me why I took away the soul of someone who wasn’t on the list they prepared. I had to explain what the bastard did to them”
“I have pleaded with Eros to help with the love bonding but he said it is not in his power to force her to love me. But he did give me tips and the first step is to spend more time together with her then gradually, she would fall in love herself. It’s just a matter of time.”
“That’s alright. I spoke with Zeus last night. He’s expecting the wedding invitation card to be brought to the council” Thanatos said and laughed. Hades followed suit.

“I know right. I can’t wait for her to be sitted beside me as the queen of the underworld. You know the council of the gods has to join us together officially before she’s given her power as a goddess which gives her every right to sit on the throne as the queen.”
“yeah.yeah.yeah. I know that already. Let’s just hope Persephone doesn’t try anything”
“Please. Don’t speak of that Bleeping Lovepeddler here!”
“Am sorry brother. What would you be doing today?”
“Well. I’ll be giving her a tour around my kingdom. Let me leave you in charge of the shades” Hades and waited for his words to sink in. The latter grinned and nodded. He would take care of the souls. Thanatos downed the remaining content of ambrosia, bade his brother goodbye in the native language and flew away with his wings to resume his duties. He had to go fetch souls and capture those that didn’t want to receive their judgments yet.
Hades beckoned on a nymph and asked her to call Elyme and Adriane. He had informed them they would be going together to see his kingdom. They were before him in no time dressed in beautiful greek chiton. Elyme wore a jimmy choo heels while Adriane wore a simple brown sandal. Elyme’s hair was curled neatly to the side in a fashionable way. She looked brighter than she had always looked. Probably because a larger part of her life had been lifted off. That day marked the beginning of a new life. A new world
Elyme felt all the blood in her body rushing to her cheeks as Hades scrutinized her intently. From her head to her toes. He grinned and walked closer to her, placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
“Shall we?” He asked the girls. They nodded and smiled. Hades was determined to be her perfect gentleman. He wanted to give her a perfect life and a different impression about him so she could fall in love with him faster.
As they neared the high obsidian doors, Hades turned to her and smiled. He placed his hand across her shoulder and smiled again. Adriane just watched her master display a totally new affection for Elyme. The large black doors opened slowly and Elyme took a deep breath, feeling nervous and excited she was going to see what it looked like outside Hades’ palace.
She expected the underworld to be dark and eerie like Hades’ castle but as the doors continued opening, her jaw dropped open.

“Oh my god!” She breathed. Adriane gasped as she beheld the sight of the underworld again after a long time.

Green long fields of grass and tall trees adorned the outside with beautiful roses of every kind adding to the finishing touches. The location of the sunlight was impossible to make out, but it was there. It felt good and warm against her skin for she hadn’t been outside in a long while.
Elyme breathed slowly, closing her eyes as the sweet aromas caressed her senses and she took a slow step forward. It was as if she were afraid that the beautiful mirage before her would disappear in the blink of an eye. Hades looked at her astonished face and smiled. His kingdom was indeed beautiful.

The roses were colorful and in different shades. Black, red, pink and many more.

They shone brightly and displayed the beauty of the gemstones they were made of.

Gods and goddesses who were newly wedded playing around the field. Hades smiled as he saw Nyx (the god of night) laughing cheerfully with his new bride Gaia(goddess of the earth)

.Even though Gaia spent all of her time in the planet earth, she still came once in a while to Hades’ kingdom to have pleasurable moments. When the season for her break was over, she would go back to earth to resume back her duties. Hypnos (god of sleep) was chilling with Antheia (goddess of garden and flowers). Hades greeted them in their native language and they greeted him back. Elyme made a mental note to ask Hades to teach her too.

Elyme giggled as she took the roses in her hands. They were delicate and thick.
“It smells!” she cooed in an awed tone of voice.
“Sure. It does” Adriane smiled and also picked a rose flower to play with.
Hades chuckled and felt captivated by Elyme’s dazzling smile.

Elyme looked up and watched as beautiful women danced around the vast garden.

They pirouetted and jumped across, moving as graceful as they could. Elyme watched for a bit before turning to Adriane and said, ”they’re beautiful”
The nymphs were dressed in light green dressed and many flowers adorned their heads as crowns. They wore no shoes and had long intricate swirls decorating their bodies.

Hades took the rose from her hands and placed it on her hair, tucking it right on her ear. Elyme felt her cheeks turning a slight shade of pink and she grinned up at him.

“They used to be wood nymphs, some turned into trees or something related to nature while the rest chose to work here in the garden” he explained while elyme nodded and touched her hair to make sure it was still there.

Adriane watched them quietly, satisfied smiles growing on their lips as she realized her master was warming Elyme’s heart.

“Let’s go to Elysium” Hades said and grinned at the two girls. He led them through the enormous garden. Many bush statues of people Elyme didn’t know were scattered around the garden, adding an Edward Scissorhands look to it. The god pushed the silver gate open and they entered the beautiful fields of Elysium.

“Oh my goodness, this is gorgeous!” Elyme and Adriane chorused.

Children ran around, laughing and singing.

Couples walked hand-in-hand down the hills and others danced with the soft breeze that enveloped them. It all looked like it belonged in a picturesque photograph; it made them fuzzy and giddy inside.

“People are so afraid of death but it looks so pretty here!” Elyme exclaimed.
