My Best Friend

Anyways! It’s not like am going to tell her. I did the dishes and set off to cook the pasta, when my phone started ringing. It was my mum! We haven’t talked much since I got here and I was planning to call her soon, but I forgot . Me and my mum have this relationship, at times she’s like a best friend. So I picked up.

We talked for like 30mins. I even forgot I left the burner on without placing the pot on it. Jeez! I grabbed the pot and placed it.
Then my mum started asking me about pamela and Jeff, I said they were cool. She now told me that I should call my brother. I said ok.
She told me I should be good, this that! Bla bla bla.
I said, fine, I’ll be good, gtg mum. I hanged up. I did the cooking, which didn’t take much of my time. I went over to my room and la!d on my bed, it was now late like around 7:30 and Jeff was not really back. Being the most consigned person ever liveth! I tried to call him, but I don’t have his number I started laughing.

Then I was smiling and looking up to the ceiling. I was thinking about everything that happen in the last few hours.

been long he has seen Jeff. I laughed and told him Jeff is all grown up and look different even pamela too. He was like yeah! Speaking of pamela, that she called him the other day.
I was like pamela called you? He said yes. I said, hmm ok o. Gtg bye. I hanged up. I was now like pamela called my brother. …. for
what? How did she even get his number? Anyway. I got up and went over to the kitchen.
Pamela was there, she was already
eating. Hey girl! I really love this, she said. I replied, oh! You mean the food.. thanks. I went over and put some for myself and went to dinner; where pamela was too. We were eating, we were not even talking self. Then she was like, have you taken a bath?
I said no. She now said, good! You’re gonna take a bath with me.
I need you to shave my legs. I was about to put the food in my mouth when she said that. Immediately I just dropped the fork on my plate.
Me: ewwww, shave your legs? Can’t you do it yourself
Pam: no! My mum is not around, she’s the one who helps me shaves my legs and besides what’s wrong with you helping me?
Me: um *looking for words* pamela actually am on my period! And you don’t wanna have me near you, especially unclad, would you? looking at her*
Pam: *looking disappointed* liar! Don’t let me use the “h” word on you *her eyes popped out*
Me : what do you mean? *confuse*
Pam: arrrrgh! Jennifer stop! I’m not in the mood. You’re going to help me, whether you like it or not
Me: *looking at her* sure I’ll Immediately we heard a footsteps approaching towards the
passage along the living room. We both turned around to know who. It was Jeff! My mood changed and I didn’t say a word.
Pamela was like, isi aki! Where did you go since? I got up immediately I was about leaving to my room with my food.
Pamela now looked at me and asked me where I was going to? I was feeling nervous and sweating unnecessarily all of a sudden.
I replied immediately, “to my room” Jeff was even looking at me, wondering why I wanted to leave so soon to my room or was it
because he was here? Well in the literal sense. I think so. I couldn’t help that he was there, my heart was beating fast. My palms were sweating so bad. My tummy hung up to my chest. Only God knows how my face was. I just left immediately as fast as my legs could take me.
I got to my room, locked the door and sat on my bed. I was looking at my food; the sight of it turned my tummy, so I just kept it aside.
Few minutes later, I heard a knock on my door, I didn’t ask who I just got up and opened the door. It was Jeff.
He just stood there and was looking at me with a smile on his face. I felt uncomfortable, so I asked him what he wanted? Looking around
the passage to know if pamela was coming. He now said, nothing. I looked at him, thinking of what to say to him, but nothing really. He now burst the bubble. May I come in? He said.
I looked at him, sure. He now came in, I locked the door. “So why did you leave to your room, is it because of me? I don’t get it!
Infact I don’t get you. You’re weird. He said. I told him that I left because of him, yeah and that when I saw him…. I was now looking at him. He now said, when you saw me what happened?
I now said, I don’t really know. He now came closer to me and grabbed my hands. I really like you, I do and I don’t care what others that’s pamela thinks. You’re so different from other girls I’ve been with. I just what you to be yourself whenever you see me, don’t think about pamela. Will you do that for me? *holding my chin* yeah, sure. I said. I now asked him, “so these other girls you’ve been with, did you have s*x with all of them?
He started laughing and said not really. I looked at him. He now came closer and kissed me. We were kissing so passionately,
when someone was banging at the door. It was pamela! I pulled my lips off immediately. I looked at him and looked at the door.

was mad and angry at the same time. “Jeff, what are doing here?
” she said to Jeff. Jeff looked at her, ” well I and Jennifer were talking, you got a problem with that? She now looked at me. I was just looking at both of them, I didn’t say anything. Jeff now left. She now came closer to where I was staying. “So you and Jeff, huh? She said. I looked at her. What do you mean?
She was looking so mad. “I mean you and Jeff now talking, what about me? You left me and chose my brother over me. It’s cool” I
started laughing. In my mind I was like, this girl is crazy. Anyways she was not thinking about us doing it. Hehe, pamela you’re funny, I said. She now looked at me and said it’s not
funny, come and shave my legs jor. I now said ok. Even though I don’t want to, we both went upstairs to her room.
