Me: still struggling to talk
Mona: my God!! you are not able to talk again!!!

The woman: aw is he feeling
Mona: he is not able to talk ma
Woman: she examined me then said it is due to some shock and am still weak before the day runs out I would found my voice back
Mona was very happy to hear this she thank her seriously the woman then said you can call me miss sandra (I was like nawa o and she look like she don give birth to 10 pikin another part in me said u better mind your business you are still yet to speak up)
Miss sandra: wouldn’t you go to school today it is already 8:30 am
Mona: am going no where ma’am am not leaving until he recover back fully
Miss sandra: uhmm this your love is strong o
Mona: ahn ahn ma he is just my best friend that all I can’t just leave him here alone

After school hour the school couch visit me and wish me quick recovery I only shake my head to answer him some students also visit me especially girls that are already in love. Mona just sit silently beside me watching them as they plant many kiss on my cheek some would even kiss my lips just because am too weak to stop them mona would just look away am very sure she dieing of jealousy but wait shabi she said am just her best friend ni later in the evening alvin mike and tonia come in
Tonia: ohhh lovely brother am sorry for not checking on you it is mike and alvin that just told me what happened am sorry
Me: ( see this stupid girl o is she not on the field I guess someone is digging her hole somewhere) I only shake my head

Mona: he is not able to speak out yet
Tonia alvin mike: what!!!!!


Tonia: I need to call dad right away
Me:giving sign no don’t call him I would be okay be4 the day runs out
Alvin and mike: we are sorry brother please forgive us
Me: I no even give them any sign
They later leave for hostel leaving only mona with me through out the day am still yet to found to found my voice am now totally worried the day has already run out and my voice is not back yet (is this how I would be till I die?) Mona hold my hand and tell me all is well as I closed my eyes and slept off.
