“Article 17 says the highest holder of shares in Obiaku’s Worldwide would automatically be the head of the board, thereby making some crucial decisions concerning the welfare of the company.

Guess who sanctioned the existence of that Article”,Pedro said
“Who?”
“Robert Obiaku”
“When are meeting up with Anthony?”
“Joel has his eyes on him,so I’m waiting for a call from Joel”
“Hmmm”
“I’ll excuse you”,he said as he made to stand up
“Hmmm”
When Pedro left,all Tiara would think of was how Robert would go down- how she would make him go down. After Robert, she would think of a way for Daniel and they would all go down, she would take everything from them just as they did her dad. Her thoughts shifted to Fiona,not only is she pregnant but she she’s actually thinking of getting married to Joshua? to Joshua Green?. She was almost sure her dad would be turning in his grave. She would give anything to know what’s wrong with Fiona but then,she already knows answer—Love. Four letter words that would complicate things. Four letter words that would…… the knock on her bedroom door disrupted her thoughts. She thought it was Pedro but it was Liza gracefully marching into her room and she realized her thoughts had proved her wrong for the second time that day.
“Tia, what’s new?”
“Nothing”
“You’ve had two visits this morning. From Fiona and Ped”
“Ped?”
“Pedro”
“Oh”
“Ped sounds like the short name for Pedro”
“I see”
“But you prefer to call people by their full names”
“I haven’t noticed that”
“Sure you have”
“Hmmm”
“So tell me”
“Pedro came to tell me to hasten our plans to buy Anthony’s shares”
“Anthony? who’s Anthony?”
Tiara let out a sigh
“One of Robert’s board member”
“And Fiona?”
“She came to inform me of her marriage”,she said as she put on her clothes
Liza dropped on the bed “Marriage?”
“To Joshua Green”
“Son of the enemy”
Silence- awkward silence which Liza broke
“If Fiona gets married to Joshua, it means only one thing”
“What?”
“She turned her back on her family and most importantly, on daddy’s last wishes”
“Sounds like it”
“What do you plan for Robert?”
“I’m taking over his company”
“Sounds fair. I would prefer death”
There was mistake in reading the shock in Tiara’s eyes
“What did you say?”,Tiara said coming closer thinking her ears were playing her
“They killed dad and they deserve nothing less”,after some silence, she continued “It’s you and I now,Tiara. While you see to the revenge,I’ll see to their deaths”,she said standing.

Liza’s eyes changed, looking at them,Tiara knew she had meant those words.
“Liza,we don’t need to kill anyone”,Tiara said
“You don’t need to kill anyone”
Silence, not because she didn’t want to reply but because she was both shocked and surprised to.
It had been Mr Anthony Madu’s routine to frequent Pando’s Bakery because despite having an unstable childhood, he has a sweet tooth. He had a thing for cakes,muffins, sweet bread made with honey. He had once resulted to the fact that the reason he always went crazy for cakes was because he never had one for his birthday.
There were many other bakeries but the reason why he preferred Pando’s was because they sold other things like espresso and so on.

Anthony had just placed an order for some cakes and muffins as he checked the odds between two teams, he smiled as his big brain calculated the huge amount he would make from the bet
Few seats away from him was Joel,seated in a soft comfortable chair,placed in front of him were three cupcakes he had no interest in eating and a cappuccino which he drank frequently, completely ignoring the cake.

He had telephoned Pedro who he was sure would take a few minutes to get to Pando’s.

While he was waiting for Pedro,he had time to access Anthony. He knew his father had always beaten him up- Anthony’s old classmates had revealed that. His old neighborhood had revealed that though it was rumored,they believed his father had beaten his mother to her death.

Their next door neighbor revealed that Anthony’s father drank to death but Joel knew there was more to the story.

Anthony’s a well built man about 6ft.2,with thick lips,brown in complexion, has quite big hands,delicate pointed nose,nice bulky eyes that says all but hid something at the same time. Eyes that hid untold secrets. Joel noted his haircut suited his almost perfect face. Even clothed with his expensive grey suit,anyone who looked closely would tell he had a rugged childhood.

Even as his big hands were graced with an even bigger expensive wrist watch that would make a gold wristwatch look inferior for it was clustered with diamonds

The bell dangled signaling the arrival of a new customer. Joel looked up and noticed Pedro’s eyes were searching for him,he waved and watched as Pedro with his ever loving gait walked towards him.
“I see you’re making yourself comfortable”,Pedro said smiling
“I never loved cake, just drinking this cappu….something” Joel said,not remembering the name of the Italian-coffee based beverage made from espresso.
“Cappuccino”,Pedro completed
“You know it!?,Joel made a smile of a pleased child receiving a present from his father.
“Yeah,I do. Tasted it myself. Where’s Anthony?”
“Five tables ahead’
Pedro looked ahead to where Anthony sat,savouring what he guessed was a strawberry flavoured cake noting from the pink colour.
“Time to do business”,Pedro said tightening his hold on the file
“Wanna tag along?”,Pedro asked
Joel stole a look at Anthony, the man looked too intimidating “Nope. I’ll just stay and finish this….this cappaccino”
“Cappuccino”,Pedro corrected as he walked away
When Pedro reached Anthony’s table, he grabbed a seat and sat down.
“I don’t share cakes”,Anthony said
“No,you don’t”
“What do you want? You’re disturbing my ritual”
Eating of cake,a ritual? Clearly this man has gone nuts- Pedro thought
Pedro dropped the file on the table and shoved it to Anthony. Anthony picked it up and read it.

In the file were evidence of his match fixing.

Anthony shuddered
“What do you want?”
“Your 17% percent shares in Obiaku’s Worldwide and I’ll pay for it”
“How much are you paying?”
“Five million”
“I prefer you don’t”
“Okay”
“The papers will be ready this evening”
Pedro stood up
“I will walk my way through everyone you love and I will take pleasure in hurting them and after that,I will make them disappear. You’ve messed with the wrong man”,Anthony said as he stood up,never giving Pedro a chance to speak but to ponder on his words.
