“O boy you gotta be fast, we never get time by our side” I heard blanny saying
“I dey come nah” I replied in my not too rich pidgin, I packed my cloth in my backpack not forgetting my laptop, taking a last look at my room my eyes darted to the wall clock the time read 8:30pm I rushed out to meet my able friend holding a small traveling bag. We have to catch a night bus which is to hit the road by 9:00pm, we got to the bus stop buy our ticket and we were set to leave, being the sharp guy that I am I decided to sit at the back sit close to a guy staring out from the window while blanny is directly in my front, I leaned forward and whispered to him “you sure say this thin go work” and he nod his big head like agama lizard that he is.

My name is banji and my friend blanny we rule our street with our level of rugedity, we were nicknamed B square; we are tired of our current area. Its blanny that suggest we move to Abuja maybe luck will smile on us.


Little did we know what awaits us.


It is almost one hour that the journey started, being my first time going to Abuja and my first time traveling by night unlike my partner, I never know the rout or the town we reach but I know one thing for sure which is me going to Abuja.
I felt somehow uneasy but I ruled it on the possibility of this being my first time in both aspect.



Something caught my attention, it is the guy sitting next to me; he is chatting with God knows who its not my concern but there is a way he is doing it that make it look suspicious to me, being a first-class pick pocket I have my way in reading bit of his chat which goes thus:
Smart:
Him: yes sir
Smart: like seriously?
Him: should be there in the next 2hrs
Smart: I trust you *winks*
Well it is meaningless to me. BUT
I curiously leaned on my friend to ask him how many hours will it take us to get there, like seven hours he replied bluntly. *But why is this guy talking about 2hrs, maybe he is gonna drop* I concluded before I found myself in the dreamland.
