We heard the knock again and by then I was already afraid.

Me:What are we going to do?
Ma Caro:Just hide at the back of the chair
As I was moving towards the chair,the knock came again with a loud voice ‘I want to buy something’.Ma Caro checked who it was and saw one small boy,so we both came out and walked to the shop.Meanwhile in my mind I was like this tin will never happen again o.She sold to the boy what he wanted and also gave me 4packs of hungry man size.She also said don’t bother to pay me,I wasn’t surprised coz its the fruit of my labour.I thanked her and was about leaving when Carolina entered the shop.

Me:Ah ah Carolina.what are you doing here?
Carolina: I should be asking you that.. I ve never seen you in my mums shop so why today?
Me:You mean mama Caro is your mother?
Carolina: Yea,she is.Where do you live?
Me:Off this street,the house beside that welder.
Carolina: Ohk,so I hope we will be seeing more of each other?
Me:I pray so..I gat to go,see you later.

Mama Caro was just there staring when I left..I got home to see my sis and Joshua in our house.
Me:Josh,what’s up?
Josh: Kul bro
Me:I can see,you came to see me or her?
Josh: Her
Me:ok,I guess am not needed then.

I left to go and cook the indomie by then my siblings were doing their assignment. Few min later the indomie was ready,I brought it into our house coz we use a common kitchen.

Me:Josh com and join us
Josh:Thanks, am already leaving sef
Me:okay na,till tomorrow.

He left and we ate our meal.We waited for mummy to come back, after waiting for too long she came in around 9pm looking tayad.
Hannah:Mummy you are late today o
Mum:Yes,due to what happened today
We all chorused ‘what happened’?
Mum:I am being forced to remove my hands from a particular case.The case is not meant to be swept under the carpet but am being compelled to do so.I have vowed not to,it must be investigated properly and justice carried out.

We were all speechless and looking at her.I decided to change the topic.
Me:Mummy we are to buy our GCE forms before the closing date.

Mummy:Yes remind me to give you tomorrow.. You and Susan will write it once and pass o coz no money for your Waec and school fee for next session.
Me and Susan: okay mum.

We all slept with the hope of waking up tomorrow.

The next day,we went to school and Caro came to me asking me about my night and tinz like that. Before I knew it I and Caro were dating, my sis and Joshua started dating. I so much love Caro that I couldn’t do without seeing her in a day.She also love me very much, our GCE result came out and we did very well, we also took jamb and I got 252 my sis got 228 while Caro got 238.Tinz were going smooth for us until we wanted to enter university, that night 5 men barged inside our house. I could see the fear in mum’s eyes,they brought out their guns and told my mum.We ve begged you to hands off the case but you refused,then in turns they shot my mum.My siblings were not around that night,I looked at their faces and saw them laughing. I couldn’t take it anymore so I stood up to fight and gbam!!!! was what I could remember.
