Twelve years later, Prez had become a full grown beautiful woman, she was still with Xavier who was also grown to become a very handsome man. They were both staying in Young Village where the resistance army was.

The resistance army was building up everyday and secretly even the smart Philnians didn’t know what was going on in Young Village.

Everyone there were thought to be ordinary villagers but the people and Villagers knew better. But one very strange thing was that no one knew who the leader of the resistance army was.

Prez, Xavier and some other people came to the Capital City KORS, where everything happened including where the Imperial Palace is. They came to speak to the Skornian Elders. They had both became the spokepersons for the Young Village people. It was on their arrival that they encountered problems.

Prez friend,Lina, that lived in the capital city was raped and killed by the Crown Prince friends, no one dared to touch them so they got away with their atrocities. When Lina’s parents narrated what happened to Prez, she was livid with anger, immediately, she went to their usual joint, Star Inn.
“I am looking for Lina’s killers? stand up before I fish you out.” One of them laughed and said. “And what will you do? We are untouchable unless you want to face the Crown Prince wrath. Oh! Not before we have a taste of you one after the other like we did with yyour friend.” He and the others laughed. Prez smiled “Really? Okay then, if you all beat me, you can have your way but if I beat you all, I will castrate you all.”

They all laughed because they were all good swordsmen. “Bring it on Aghassi(Young Lady)” In a swift, Prez unsheated her sword, in less than two minutes she had them all on the floor writhing in pain. She then went ahead and castrated them. When the Crown Prince heard of this, he threw Prez in prison. “You,how dare you? You will pay for this.” When the Emperor heard of this and also the protest of the Skornian Elders he ordered the release of Prez because he didn’t want rebellion from the Skornians.

After accepting, Prez mounted her horse and travelled to Young Village where she confronted Xavier. “You b-----d, how could you do this to me?” Xavier tried to calm her down. “Am sorry Prez when I was told you had been chosen, I knew there was nothing I could do, that’s your fate Prez, I can’t change it. And I know you think you are in love with me, it’s just infatuation nothing more and I also don’t love you in that manner, I only love you like a sister, am sorry if it hurts you but Prez you have to go now.”

Prez slapped him hard. “Neinom, you traitrous fool, Idon’t want to ever see you again till I die, we are done.” After her confrontation with Xavier she left for Kors, the capital city to begin her new life as an Empress…..

A week after Prez was chosen, she was crowned as the Empress, her official name was Empress Li. As was the tradition, she had her own set of chambers in the Imperial Palace called Empress Palace.The biggest set of chambers belonged to the Emperor, that one is name Grand Palace. But she and the Emperor shared the same sleeping chambers situated between their palaces.
On the wedding night, Emperor Kan la!d down his rules for her. “I accepted you because of my mother not because of heaven or whatever, you are nothing to me and I will never bed you, just sleep and supervise the women world in the palace, you have no official duties here. And don’t worry about child bearing, I will take a Queen from among my people in Philnia, she will bear all the children I need, so just enjoy your stay here cara mia(my dear)” After his speech he left. Empress Li then knew that her stay in the palace will be hell. The following day she went to give her greetings to the Empress Dowager, the Emperor’s mother. Then she wondered around her part of the palace. She would also go and visit her people outside the palace and help them since she had nothing to do.

Six months later, true to his words, Emperor Kan made the daughter of his Prime minister in Philnia queen. She was a wicked and callous thing but Empress Li never minded. All the servants, slaves and workers in the palace prefer to serve Empress Li rather than Queen Lan just because of her callousness.

One day in the middle of the night while Empress Li was sleeping, Emperor Kan barged into their sleeping chambers dead drunk, that will be the second time after their wedding night. Before she knew what was happening, he was on her, Empress Li was helpless to do anything. The next morning when he became sober, he realized his mistake and transferred them to Empress Li. He slapped and hit her hard. “You wench you had the guts to s£duce me? Even if you give birth, it will still be a b-----d because a mixed blood, half blooded Skornian b-----d can never be my child nor my heir.” After beating her some more, he stormed out of their sleeping chambers to his palace.

Empress Li wouldn’t mind, she had accepted her fate but there was one thing she vowed to do for her people and Empire before she died in the hands of the Emperor and that is to make the Emperor give her his blood oath and seal that after his reign, he would liberate Skornia and go back to his own Empire Philnia.

A month after the incident, Empress Li started feeling funny and getting sick so her chief maid called the physicians to check her. “Olori? it is with great pleasure I tell you this. You are pregnant Your Majesty.” After delivering the news they left. It wasn’t long before the news spread around the whole palace. The Queen was furiouswhen she heard, she went to meet Emperor Kan. “Your Majesty, this people mock us, will you allow them?”
Emperor Kan was angry when he heard about Empress Li’s pregnancy. “Don’t worry my Queen, I will take care of it.” Queen Lan was very happy with the Emperor’s response. The Emperor instructed the physicians to prepare an abortion tonic and headed to Empress Li’s palace.

She was dragged out by the Emperor’s guards. A maid witnessed whatwas happening and reported to the Empress Dowager. “I heard you are pregnant, you s--t.” He hit her hard. “Arata, I won’t argue with you. Give it to her, not a drop must be left Li.” The tonic was handed to Empress Li who refused to drink it. “No, I can’t, I won’t drink it.”
The Emperor roared with fury “What! Alright, I give you two minutes to finish that tonic or I will remove that b-----d from your womb with my sword.” The Emperor threatned her fiercely and with shaky hands she carried the tonic to her mouth.”No, stop don’t drink it.”
The Empress Dowager ran into the gathering. “Your Majesty, please don’t do this I beg you please am on my knees, don’t make this mistake.” The Emperor grunted. “Mother, why wre you doing this?” The Empress Dowager replied. “Because a mother knows best.” Emperor Kan left angrily leaving Empress Li with his mother. Empress Li bowed ” Thank you Your Majesty.”

The Empress Dowager turned and slapped her. “You must be crazy you are not fit to carry a child, wench, I don’t want to ever see you near my Hall again or else………..” With that she walked away.
