She didn’t want him to hate her for her secrets. “Everything I have is for you even my people as long as you treat them well.” Emperor Kan smiled. It felt good having her in his arms.
“So what’s next now? Can you assemble them soonest? I will personally go there and meet your army.” Empress Li smiled. “You don’t have to worry, it will be suspicious if you go, I have already discussed with Xavier, the army is on standby, all that is needed is to join forces with your army and you will win this war.” Emperor Kan smiled. “What can I do without you my love? I will make this up to you, I won’t be afraid to declare my undying love for you.”


Empress Li laughed. “And I love you too My Majesty. But there is one more thing you have to know.” She exhaled. “Kani is not your son, the Queen took him and killed all his family.” Emperor Kan was shocked and enraged. “Mora?(What?) I must kill her.” Empress Li consoled and calmed him. “Calm down, at least think of Kani, how he………..” Before they could understand it, Kani ran out, it was obvious he heard everything. “Pae’ha, we will finish this later, let me go meet him.” Emperor Kan agreed.
She ran after Kani and consoled him. “It’s okay Kani, I will always be here for you my sweet please stop crying.” Kani looked at her. “Will you be my mother then?” She smiled at him. “Always my son, always.”

After sharing all her secrets with the Emperor, Empress Li felt relieved, she was so happy the Emperor accepted her proposal. Emperor Kan announced and decreed that Empress Li’s full power and authority he had given to her, as a reward to her for saving his life. The Queen and some people were against it but there was nothing they could do about it.
One day something happened. Xavier was going through the market when he saw someone very familiar, he followed her of course, when he moved closer he was surprised. “Am I dreaming? Kat! Is this you?” She turned to look at him. “Xavier? Orabeoni(brother).” She embraced him. “Wow! I never thought I would see you again.” Xavier smiled. “Your sister and I have been looking for you since.” Kat smiled. “Am sorry, I came back after a few years but I couldn’t find you both, so I went back. Oh! This is my family.” She introduced him to her husband and kids.
After exchange of pleasantries, Xavier asked. “When did you arrive Kat?” She smiled. “We arrived last night and we are still looking for a place to stay. What about my sister, is she well?” Xavier laughed. “More than well, she will be happy to see you let’s go to her, she will find you a place to stay.” Xavier instructed a carriage to convey them to the palace. Kat was confused on their arrival at the palace gates. “Xavier, what are we doing here, is Prez working here?” Xavier smiled. “You will see.”
He took them to the Empress palace, he asked them to wait while he went inside. “Maama(Your Majesty), good day.” He bowed respectfully. Empress Li smiled. “Xavier you are here. Ankora.” Xavier smiled. “Before I do, I have some guests for you.” Empress Li looked confused. “For me? Let them in then.” Xavier instructed the maids to bring them in. Both Empress Li and Kat were shocked when she entered.



“Prez are you the one?” Empress Li ran and hugged her. “Unni(sister), Kat I missed you.” Xavier smiled. “Now Kat, she is no longer Prez, she is Her Royal Majesty, Empress Li.” Kat stuttered. “M-m-mo-moragoyeo(what)! She is our Empress?” Xavier nodded. “Yes, she is.” Empress Li laughed. “Don’t mind him please sit down.” She looked and saw the people with her sister. “Forgive my manners. Kat, is this your family?” Her sister nodded. “Yes, this is my husband, then your nephew and nieces.” Empress Li embraced the children. “Beautiful and handsome children, just like their parents. Ha! Now my mind is at peace. Lady Dora please bring Jilhe and his siblings.”
“Yee,maama(Yes, Your Majesty).” Lady Dora replied cheerfully. A few moments later, Prince Jilhe came in with his siblings. “Mother, you asked of us. Uncle you are also here.” He bowed. Empress Li smiled. “Yes. Jilhe, Kani, I want you both to meet your aunt Kat? she just arrived.” Prince Jilhe smiled. “Kre? Mother have told me a lot about you, you are welcome aunty, uncle.” He bowed respectfully. Prince Kani also bowed. He said. “And these must be our cousins. Oh! This is Happiness, our ever smiling princess.” He handed her over to Kat. Kat smiled. “It seems she unlike her brother took after her father right?” Empress Li nodded.
“My maids will prepare bathe water for you all. After settling in, Empress Li proceeded to tell her sister about her life after their family’s death and her life in the palace. Kat promised to stay with her and never leave her again. After a long day, they called it a day while Empress Li went back to the palace, where her children were gisting happily about their aunt and her family.
