After this, Emperor Kan gave a secret order that the troops should move. After getting the assurance that his messenger was safe and unseen, he heaved a sigh of relief. “My Majesty, don’t worry, everything will be okay.”
Empress Li consoled and calmed him down. He held her hands. “Ara(I know), it’s just that I will miss you and this is a great war, I don’t know if I will come back alive and see you again my love, why should this happen now that I’ve found you” Empress Li smiled. “You will be back safely, I know that and I believe in you my heartbeat.”
He kissed her passionately. “Having you by my side is encouraging, thank you. Saranghee(I love you).” Empress Li blushed and laughed. “Nado Pae’ha(Same here, Your Majesty).”

A month after Empress Li came back into the palace, a signal was sent to her, she was informed that the army was in position. As soon as Emperor Kan heard this he took action and told his retainers that he was going for a visit to Philnia Empire. As soon as Queen Lan and General Krane heard this, they thought it as the perfect opportunity to get rid of Emperor Kan but little did they know that Emperor Kan hadplans for them. A day before his departure, he called his family and spoke to them.
“My beautiful princess, I will miss you so much. Listen to your mother and be a good girl alright?” Princess Happiness nodded happily .”I will really miss you. I love you father.” He smiled. “And I love you too my angel. Kani, be a good boy and help your brother, don’t forget Happiness too and also listen to your mother.” Prince Kani nodded. “Please come back to us safely, I will miss you father.” Emperor Kan nodded.
“Yes, I will miss you too my son, remember to also focus on your studies.” He turned to Prince Jilhe and held his hands. “Jilhe, I don’t have to tell you what is happening because you know. I want you to protect your mother and siblings, remember, you are in charge now, I have put you and your mother in charge of the Empire, I hope you won’t disappoint me my son.” Prince Jilhe bowed. “You can count on me father, I will make you proud please just come back safely and victorious.” Emperor Kan nodded.
“I will. You can all go now.” After they all left, he held Empress Li’s hands. “Smile, smile my love. Please look at me.” Empress Li looked at him reluctantly. Emperor Kan sighed. “Please don’t do this my heartbeat. You know how much I need to do this please.” Empress Li sighed. “I know, please just take care of yourself and come back safely to me, I know victory is ours already.” Emperor Kan smiled. “That’s why I love you. I promise to make you proud and please take care of mother for me.”
Empress Li nodded. “Alright, I will. Have a safe journey and be careful.” Emperor Kan dragged her to their sleeping chambers while thinking about the war to come.
