Tamara chuckled. Mr Bells had been the only relative she had ever since
her mother’s demise. He would never stop treating him like a tender child.

Always concerned and caring. Well, that was still the best thing she really
loved about him. “I’m trying here uncle.”

“Guess what? I have good news for you” Bells muttered, suppressing the
urge to spill the news. He had successfully coerced Xtiana to his biddings.

Tamara could swear she smelt happiness reeking in his voice. “Uncle, stop
holding me in suspense, I’m not good at guessing.” She said, hoping the
good news should entail her returning to Laraba.

“Tamara, you are returning to Laraba. And please, don’t think about
staying at Xtiana’s place. I’ve fixed that for you.”

“Wow!” Tamara yelled happily. “You have no idea how happy I am with
this.” She said softly. That was the greatest thing that could happen to her
at the moment. She would be returning to Laraba to rekindle her love with
her dead friend. It was high time she erased Jamal from her mind and
focused on loving her long-dead friend.

“One more thing Tamara, you will be resuming your job as the Laraba’s
secretary.” Bells informed, while Tamara grinned with happiness.

“Thank you, uncle.” She muttered.

“Darlene, I also need you to be rest assured that when you come home this
time around that we will find your powers, and you will take over your
position as the our lasts entry, okay.”

Tamara’s face frizzled this time. “Alright uncle.”

“Okay, bye.” Bells said, and the line went dead. He was happy finally
putting things into places, and also fulfilling his promises Luciana.

He turned to look at Xtiana, and smirked. He stretched his hands forward.

“Thank you for taking the deal.” He said, his voice rived of sarcasm.

Xtiana had a look, that kind ferocious kind of look that could only be seen
spreading on the face peckish viper. Death! “Get out!” she barked back.

Bells crawled his hand back into his pocket. “I’ll take that as a compliment
for our perfectly done deal.” He mouthed, increasing the tome of sarcasm,
and walked out of Xtiana’s house.
Xtiana clenched his fist in fury, things weren’t going the way she
envisaged. She couldn’t afford to watch her daughter to be ousted out as
the lasts sentry. Having securely fixed her own problem of retaining her
position as the alpha by taking on Bells’ deal, now her daughter was on the
loose end. That would never happened. There was only one thing she
could do to salvage the situation, and she would do it.

She picked up her phone and dialled a number. She guzzled more than
enough oxygen as she waited anxiously for her call to be answered.

“Xtiana, you are not calling at the right time. What do you want?” a voice
blurted over the phone.

“I’m ready.” Xtiana simply said.

“Ready for killing you or what are you ready for?”

“Medicos!” Xtiana yelled, with her face going cranky. “I’m ready for the
ritual. So when is Ryan dying?”

“OH! I see what you are ready for. You are ready to kill Ryan.” She had a
slight chortle. “Ryan will be dying tomorrow then. Let’s meet at our usual
place tomorrow. Bring him along. Come with your fangs, while I come
with my spell.” She said, and cut the call.

As soon as Tamara finished the call, Hilton shook his head vigorously in
such a way that it looked it might fall off his neck anytime soon. “You are
not going anywhere Tamara, you are not leaving here like this.” He
whined.

Tamara dropped her phone on the table, and picked her wine glass. “Is that
a request, a question, or a complain?” she asked, taking a sip from her cup.

Hilton tapped his forehead in distraught. “Please don’t go back to that
town, it’s very dangerous over out there.”
