Anabelle’s heart pumped blood rapidly and flowed aggresively in her veins. She felt her heart, boiled and chopped. She wondered how things would always showup to deteriorate situations. She, just, starred into vacant space, lost in her thoughts, until the voice prodded her, “I said, where is my daughter? Where is she?”

She almost lost her ear. His voice sounded so powerful. She never wanted to worsen the already strained relationship, she and her sister mantained but she knew the choice wasn’t hers, she threw in the towel.

Answering him, honestly, would take her back home, then, but she had no choice again, she thought. The look on Tim’s face depicted he wasn’t kidding. He still had the seemingly innocent face, afterall. She wondered what would have occured had he not met her. She marvelled at how fate could pull on such a coincidence. She knew she needed to answer him, though, she was no new to how animalistic he was. The beast that derived pleasure from her Mom’s past act.

“Let’s leave here, first,” she eventually spoke in a voice that sounded surprisingly confident and charming, even to her.

“Waiter!” she beckoned and settled her bills when he arrived. She saw a feeling down look in his eyes, she could tell he never liked whatever was happening. She knew he could do nothing, just like her, though. Soldiers weren’t toymen for the country’s citizens.

“Follow me,” she commanded again and walked out.

Jolade smiled sheepishly at Paul behind the carefree curtains hunged accross her room’s window. He looked impatient, like they had to get somewhere fast, as he strucked a pose with his car. He reminded her of the numerous Presidential escorts she had often seen in Hollywood movies. He looked really adorable. His blinking black tux complemented his recent haircut, perfectly. He grinned from ear to ear.
She could tell he was upto something from how he had been acting. He had arrived, hours earlier, beaming of smiles. She could tell something special would happen, soon.

The ambience, too, was surprisingly chill and refreshing. It was harmonious with her feeling. Birds chirped and sang melodious tones, on the almond tree close to her house. The sun appeared dim and the gentle-blowing and seemingly harmless breeze provided soothing relief, to those who needed it.

She was finally ready. She stepped out elegantly from her room, did the neccesaries in the living room and walked alluringly outside. She noticed Paul gasped as he beheld her. She looked really eye-catching.

She wore a tight-fitting gown that had flannels on its lower side. It was adorned with flowers and the pink leggings she wore along complemented it, well enough. Her hair retained it’s natural qualities and it fell accross her shoulders. She seemed just like a blossoming flower. She looked pretty as ever.

“There you go again,” she chastised Paul. “You’re just staring, you aren’t helping with that!”
“Oh!”
he exclaimed, “You caused it. You look really beautiful,” he added.

Jolade blushed furiously. Tender butterflies floated and sang in her stomach. She quivered within. “Thank you,” she made a show of being unimpressed. “So, shall we leave, now? You’ve been hurrying me up, since,”.

“Your sight is marvellous enough for me! But for you, I would just gaze all day at you,”
Paul went on a rampage of mind sweetening words.

“Okay, okay!” she pronouced, heavily, very much at sea at what to say.

She couldn’t stand it, anymore. She knew they had to leave. She felt like she could jump and bestow in abundace, on him, kisses. It was past six, already.

She decided to hop in the car as she felt that would surely prompt Paul, too but stopped midway when a car drove in. Bewildered, she expected the first occupant. It turned out to be Anabelle. She looked remorse like she had done somthing wrong.
Suddenly angered, she felt like eating her up.

She could see Paul’s eyes had begun to lit up, more.

Just then, the next occupant alighted. It was Timi.

Her heart fleed her body, momentarily. She felt like dieing. Ugly thoughts ravaged through her. She felt her knees going jelly.

What was he doing, there? And to think that Anabelle brought him, it seemed too much for her to deal with. Why was Anabelle always the one to ruin her joy!

“I’m sorry, I am,” she heard Anabelle’s voice, but she felt too weak to do anything. She ran towards her door and opened it. She had lost almost all ounce of composure in her.
She would never forgive her mum if Paul decided to make do with her.
