“Alex, calm down. I thought you understood, give me time. I just got out of a relationship, I am emotionally drained. I need to give my heart some rest. Don’t rush me please” She said, looking at me with pleading eyes.

“Is she still contacting you?” I asked, looking at her face.

“You mean James? Yes he was trying to but I have blocked him off. He is a past tense now” she explained with sincere eyes.

“Okay then” I huffed and stood up. “Where are you going?” She asked me.

“Home” I said monosyllabically, stretching to my full height.

She gulped as stared at my face and looked down when she noticed I caught her staring. “Goodnight” her voice rasped out.

“Night” I said and made to leave.

“Time Alex, just give me time please” her voice hit me again.

“I will but have it at the back of your mind that you don’t have all the time in the world” I breathed, getting out of the four walls of her living room.

It was saturday. I woke up feeling very weak. I had knocked out on the bed like a drunk chap when i arrived last night.

Tossing on the bed, I stretched luxuriously before closing my eyes as rays of the sun streamed into the room and onto my face. I wiped the drool at the corner of my mouth away with the pad of my thumb and slowly caressed my beards. It was time I had a clean shave.

I clicked my phone open, punched in some sweet morning messages to Tola before placing a call through to my dad. He had called me when I had gotten home the previous night but I was too tired to call back. Calling my dad back would mean him requesting for a Skype call and having that with him might spell doom for me since I was very stressed out already. My dad would talk about family from there to friends, business and the empire. He was really a handful.

I strolled to the kitchen, gulped down a glass of water before boiling some rice. I returned to the room to take my laptop. Switching it on, I searched for some fun places to visit in the dubai.
