“Yeah. Mr Alex, I wouldn’t want you to….” “Please don’t patronize me, just go straight to the point” I said, cutting him off. The look he gave me was not the most friendliest. He smirked and looked at me for a while before speaking. “Before I disclose the state of the lady to you, who are you to her?” Holy heck! Is this man serious?
I sighed heavily as I kept myself in check. I didn’t want to lose control so I bottled up my anger.

“I’m her lover” “Well, Mr. Alex, we have been able to stabilize her. You see, what happened was a hit and run. The car hit her hard from behind unexpectedly, making her shocked to the extreme level before passing out. I must say you have to thank God because she narrowly escaped amnesia”

I just sat there spellbound as a mirage of emotions swirled in my stomach. I didn’t know what to expect.

Those were the painful things I knew but none could be compared to the pain my heart felt as I buried my head down with tears streaming down my cheeks.
