My mom was also dressed in a colourful Aso-ebi lace, a beautiful headgear graced her head and her face was moderately made up by the make up artist. I was sure 80% of the guests at my wedding would be her friends.

“Oh God! Am such a crier at weddings” Felicia mourned out as she grabbed a tissue from her clutch.

Daisy smiled and tickled her nose playfully. “Wait till Alex sees you in this dress, he will be crying as much as Felicia. Just don’t worry” Daisy vowed, standing beside the make up artist who was now touching up my face with powder.

“Oh my baby is going to be a Mrs in few hours” My mom said, bending down and pulling me into her arms as tears pooled in her eyes. Seeing the tears in her eyes made a few of my own slip down my cheeks.

Pulling apart, Felicia handed me a tissue with a knowing look.

Thanking her, I dabbed lightly at my eyes.

It was such an emotional moment as my mom and I cried, Felicia joining then followed by Daisy.
They prayed for me before wheeling me out of the room.

Bedecked in my gown, tiara and veil, I was transported from my house to the church in a Range Rover.

As the car stopped in front of the church at exactly 9:55am, I saw the complete transformation of the church yard.

The landscape Architect Alex hired to transform the church to a more beautiful wedding venue really did his work. Even the horticulturist did a perfect job. The yard was just made perfect with combined green shrubs and white roses around.
Alex, being a lover of flowers wanted the yard and entrance beautifully decorated with flowers and that was what we got. The tree branches near the church had colourful lanterns hanging in them that were ready to illumine the compound.
