Michael is still very young and vibrant, he no fit just die like that na ''' i thought as I la!d on my bed, wiping the flowing tears out of my eyes. It was about 2am in the night, My brother la!d right next to me snoring heavily, I pushed him from time to time, in other to prevent him from snoring loudly but my every move proved abortive. ''afa, you position well na'' I said
pushing my brother. ''person no fit sleep again, leave me alone'' he countered and continued snoring. I carefully went off the bed and slept on the ground. But I couldn't sleep, as Michaels memory clouded my mind. Michael was more like a brother to me, I can still recall our childhood days way back in junior secondary school 3, Michael would always stick up for me. He was like my guide even though we were in the same class. He was lanky but feared by my senior colleagues, even few of my teachers feared him.

On a very bad day, I was beaten mercilessly by my hostel master on the assembly ground for spending an extra day at home after the holiday was over. Infact, I was made to call my parents that same day and I was almost suspended.
That day was like the worst day of my life.
During break time that very day, Michael walked up to me and sat beside me in class. He whispered into my ear. ''Temy, don't worry we go f*ck that house master up, he too dey show himself... Na idiot''. I believed Michaels word because he always stocked to his words. ''you go meet me for back of the hostel around 5pm, don't fail me, else you go hate me... I just wan try help you'' he continued ''because you be like a brother to me''.

Before 5pm I was already at the back of the hostel waiting inquisitively and patiently for Michael to tell me about his plans for our hostel master. My Hostel master was a young guy, he should probably be in his early 30's, he was very tall and thin like someone infected with HIV diseases. We called him ''Godnosebest'' because of his huge nose but his real name was Mr Bolaji, he was feared by every student in the school. He cultivated the habit of whistling whereever he was. He'd whistle while teaching, while reading, while in the staff room, while in the toilet, even while sleeping. I was sure Mr Godknowsbest had issues psychologically.

Not quiet long, I saw Michael walking towards my direction with a white nylon bag. We shake hands as we looked for a quiet spot to interact.

Me: why you take long na?
Michael: oboy no vex. I go tidy one or two things.
Me: wetin dey that nylon bag
Michael: wetin dey inside fit damage Mr Michaels career. No be lie o. You wan see wetin dey inside?
Me: fo'sho. I hope say no be gun o. I no wan kill person o. Abeg o.
Michael: why you dey reason like that na?

Michael opened the bag for me to see. Inside the bag I saw leaves and hairy stems,. It then dawn on me, that we had ''devils beans'' at our possession.

Michael: you see this hairy part so?... This one fit make person peel skin. You know the plan right now. We go put this level inside Mr Bolaji bathing water wey he dey use take baff go school tomorrow.

Me: o boy. Na craze be that o.
Michael: normal level. Just observe wetin go happen tomorrow. Nobody most hear this matter o.
Me: trust me bros. I no go say anything.

After that session we went to our various prep classes to read. I couldn't concentrate as I thought deeply about what was to befall Mr Bolaji the next day. I slept like a baby that night, only to be woken up with a loud scream from the school assembly ground the next morning.

''YAYYYYYYY!!!!! I DON DIE O, HELP ME O HELP ME O'' this were the words coming out of the screaming and wailing voice. I hurriedly jumped off the top bunk where I slept to see what was happening outside. I wasn't surprised when I saw Mr Godnosebest running around naked while the other teachers chased after him. ''MR. Bolaji wait, hold on..... What is happening..... Hope you're okay'' they begged him to stop but he refused.

''They wan kill me o'' Mr Bolaji said scratching his entire body. ''My enemies want to see my down fall o... Yay, I don die o''. The devil beans was taking maximum effect on the body of Mr Bolaji.
The whole students came forward making jest of Mr Bolaji. The school cooks poured palm oil on his body but it still didn't subside.

I felt pity for My Hostel Master but his cruelty was just too much, he had no mercy on us but ever since that incident, Mr Bolaji completely humbled himself like a Jehovah witness man all thanks to Michael.

Anyways, though Michael was gone but his legacies still remains.

Okay, I was told from a genuine source that he was chilling with his friends rolling up some weed that a close friend bought for him all the way from Benin city.

It was a clear evening, so they all chilled at the back of their hostel getting high on liquor and weed. Then all of sudden, they heard the sound of car screech at the front of his hostel. I was told, that Michael wasn't expecting anyhow, he had to be observant. He told one of his boys to check who it was. The boy did as he was instructed but on getting there he saw a black gulf with the window glasses raised high, he knocked on the window but there was no response. The person inside refused to wine down. The boy therefore hurriedly ran back to inform Michael and his friends.

Michael got to the scene where the vehicle was but he was welcomed with an Shotgun straight into his block. I was told he died instantly. The others fled for their lives.

I don't know who did it but the violence just have to stop.
