The twins carried Ben between themselves while Tonie and Chido held black mamba as they made their way to the airport and the waiting plane. The plane sped off immediately gliding down the runway bound for Abuja while Ben received first aid.

Ben was in critical condition and by the time they arrived Abuja he had lost lots of blood.

They rushed him to a hospital where they won’t have to explain themselves and while Chido and the twins stayed behind with him Tonie dispersed the people who came with them.

He then left with Black Mamba in tow, they made their way straight to Chief Tome-Iberie who happens to be Tonie’s father.

They narrated everything to him while he listened without interrupting till they were done. Chief Tome-Iberie shook his head and said “when the cat thinks that by hunting his prey slowly he will feed every night. Does he not wonder that he too could be hunted? This thing with Haj Abubakar has gotten out of hand. I am not one to fold my hands when my house is onfire. I think you people have done enough, it is now time you leave it to professionals. Tonie refused saying “no Dad, he came for me and Mamba. Pls let us finish this on our own. His father initially refused but later relented. He though insisted on increasing their security details, which they reluctantly agreed to.

When they left, Chief Tome-Iberie took out his red fone and placed a call to a non-addressed number asking as it connected “I need you to contact Marc Kingsley urgently. Tell him I will make it worth his while. He needs to urgently flush out a large rat that has blocked my pipes”.

“Who is this large rat”? the uninterested voice at the other end asked and Chief Tome-Iberie replied “a young man named Ibinabo, he is the right hand of Haj Abubakar”.

The uninterested voice at the other end whistled and then asked “what about your boy and his pals playing mafias”?
