Alves was nowhere to be found, we did the rehearsal and left.

We were given a week break in other to go home and visit our parents, i went back to my uncle’s house and when i got there, i was told that my uncle has already packed out of the house. They explained further that he couldn’t pay up the rent, so he was sent out of the house. I had no other place to go than to return back to school. Cashless and pennyless, hunger really dealt with me, buh thank God for alves’s remaining food stuffs which sustain me. Finally, the one week holiday ended, and school was to resume on the Monday.

It was on Sunday evening that almost every student came back. Alves came back with much food stuffs that i can imagin.

Alves: guy when u come back?

Me: me no go any holiday oh.

Alves: buh u first me leave school nii

Me: yap, buh when i got home, i didn’t see my uncle and it seems am struck here, penniless and cashless.Alves: eh yaa, well sha, nothing spoil. At least u qat urself a good music and voice.

Me: good voice kiiii. Welcome jhoor.

Alves: thankz mehn. ……. So what re u gonna do now?????

Me: mua amaghi ooh ( me no know ooh)

Alves: why dont u think about the deal kizzy offered to u?

Me: oh u mean that,, have been thinking about that also, buh

Alves: *cuts in* buh what? U can still come up with another music, niggam u re talented and u can still compose another real muzik here and now.

Me: well , i will discuss it with Nancy first.

” cool, i will give kizzy a call.. Cheer up boss.” alves said as he entered into the bathroom.

I was lost in thought that i didn’t even noticed the presence of Nancy. ”seems something is troubling you” Nancy said.

I turned my back and saw her starring at me.

Me: no dear, am owk..

Nancy: so how was ur holiday?

Me: emmm, it was cool.

Nancy: u re hiding something from
me, what’s wrong.


Me: can we go out for an evening walk.?


Nancy: sure, why not.
.Alves came out of the bathroom when we were about to leave. Nancy just waved at him, and we left.

So tell me, what’s the problem” Nancy asked.

Me: hmm, i didn’t go for the one week vacation.

Nancy : why? Do u know what, lets sit down somewhere cool.

We went over to a nearby pavement and sat down.

Me: as i was saying, i went back home only to find my uncle and wife missing. I asked the family living nearby , and i was told that the owner of the house sent my uncle away from the house due to the fact that he couldn’t pay for the rent. * tears in my eye*

Nancy: , buh that’s harsh. Have u tried their number?


Me: nop, i haven’t thought of that.

Nancy: u haven’t told of what???, so what were u thinkin.

Me: i can’t just tell..

I dialed my uncle’s number, buh the stupid customer service didn’t allow the call to go through.

Customer care: sorry, u dont have sufficient airtime to make this call. Thank you.

I turned to Nancy and said to her ” hey, hope u heard what they said?”

Nancy: *laughing* that’s not an issue, u can use my phone.

She handed the phone over to me, and i dialed my uncle’s number and it went through.

Uncle: he’llo , who is this?

Me: uncle: is me chuks.

Uncle: my boy, how re u?

Me: am not fine, u left the house and u didn’t even informed me.

Uncle: my boy, am so so sorry, u know, it came in a flash, buh thank God, everything is ok now…….

Me: so how is anuty Jane?

Uncle: she is cool. Least i forget, ur mom asked about ur well being.

Me: oh, mummy asked about me, well am fine nii.

Uncle: i will get back to u bye.

Me: ok.

After the call , i handed the phone back to Nancy.

Me: babe, have been thinkin of selling my muzik to kizzy. Am just broke.

Nancy: hello, Mr re u well at all? U wanna sell ur first hit? U wanna sell ur destiny to a guy who came for what u also came for.

Me: buh i have no other way to fight s--t am into now.

Nancy: *come closer* baby, there is always a way to fight shits. I will transfer some money ur account.Me: baby , u have done so much for me, i think its enough.

Nancy: nothing is enough for my baby……. I love u so much. No matter the condition, i will always be with u.

I tried everything to stop her, buh it didn’t work. After being together for some hrs, her dad called her and she went home. Since i didn’t have any other place to go, i went back home and lied down thinking about my life.

The message tone of my phone woke me up and i checked the phone, it was from the bank.
