”what re we going to do now?” Nancy asked with tears in his eyes.

Me: baby, i dont know what we re to do. Am so confuse.

Nancy: have heard from alves? Maybe he knows something about it.

Me: : yes, yes, Alves. Wait a min, alves said something like ” i betrayed a brother today”

Nancy: yes u re right. Re u thinking what am thinking?

Me: : *tears* alves sold me out. He sold my music to kizzy.. This talent hunt is just like a dream come true. And now, everything is gone. The talent hunt, my music and now, am not hopeless *tears*

Nancy: shiiiiiii, dont say that. We still have hope. I believe in miracles.

Me:: miracles??? I no longer believe in miracles. I have not less than 24 hrs before the great talent hunt and u re telling to have faith?. Infact am out of here.

Nancy: chuks, chuks wait up pls wait.

I ignored Nancy and went to a bar.

Me:: who is here?

Barman: welcome sir. U wanna buy something?

Me:: yap. Get me a glass vodka.

Bar man: here it is sir…….


”So Alves think say he go fit play with me, after all the mid night candles i burnt.
Chaiiiiiiiii, see opportunity wey i for grab.
Chuks u re stupid, u re an idiot, u no get sense at all” that was all i was saying to myself because i was already drunk after taking up to 6cups of spirit mixed with vodka.

”Baby, baby, baby, wake up, u need to take ur bath now” Nancy said to me.


Me:: oh s--t….. Where am i?

Nancy: u re at home.

Me:: buh i was in the bar last nite, who then brought me home??

Nancy: i did. U vomited almost everything u ate yesterday. Seems like u took alot of alcohol. *sad face*

Me:: baby, am sorry, i know i was a bit harsh on u yester-night. Pls forgive me.

Nancy: am not angry. Am just sad that my boyfriend believes that all hope is lost.

Me:: since i believe u, i believe that all hope is not yet lost. U made it possible for me to believe. Thank u.

Nancy: : *happyface* have u forgotten what today is?

Me:: why would i forget so easily??? Common lets go take our bath. We rerunning out of time.

Nancy: sure.

We went into the bedroom and took our bath. Ate the remaining indomie i bought and left for the school event hall. The school event hall was beautifully decorated, all students including i and Nancy was sitting according to our group. ” i believe in miracles” was the word kept ringing in my mind each moment any group was called to present their music. The celebrities that was invited including some of our Nigerian celebrities like wizkid, 2baba, omotela and tiwa savage was busy awarding each group that was called.. Immediately Kizzy’s Group was called, a man came into the stage and whispered something into the MC’s ear.


Mc: I just got informed that group 4 has been Eliminated.

Audience: oooohhhhh

”So the next group, should get up to the stage. I mean group 5” The MC said.
Immediately he said that, my heart skipped a bit.

Me:: what re we going to do now?

Nancy: lets get the the stage first.

Me: sure.

.Our hands glued to each other as we walk to the stage with shaky legs. ”Now we re here, what re we to do” i asked Nancy.
Nancy was about to reply, when the voice of someone was heard. ”As u watch this little show, may God bless u” the voice said.
