The moment the messenger left, i looked around the school compound without seeing Teresa. ”maybe, she is in the principal’s office” i thought as well. As i walk through the narrow way that leads to the principal’s office, my heart beat increases. ”knock knock knock” i knocked gently.

Voice: come in.

I went into her office, and saw a woman sitting with Teresa, and they were facing the principal. ”That must be her mum” *inwardly*.
”good afternoon ma” i greeted, only the principal responsed, while the other woman looked at me, starting from my feet to my bushy head”.

Woman: young man, what’s your name.

Me:: *stammering* chuks – Kent is my name.

Woman: oh, you re the chuks Kent. Wow, nice name. I thought that might be a young rickety folk. Buh i dont that you re just a low life, tryin to destroy my daughter’s future. I dont want to see you close or anywhere closer or 10miles closer to my daughter. Because, if i ever do see yu with her again, you won’t like my reaction. You pathetic son of a wretch.

Teresa: *crying* Mum, its enough.

Me:: *rolling tears* ma, i won’t have you insult my parent. I know i did something, which i shouldn’t have done. Pls forgive me.
Buh bringing my mom or dad’s name in this matter won’t help it.

Principal: i wanted you to bring your mother over here in school. Buh since you said it won’t help matters, so shall it be.

Me:: *facing the principal* buh ma, that wasn’t what i meant.

Principal: oh, spare me that Chuks Kent. You have broken the school rule. Starting from today, i dont ever wants to see you around this school. You have expelled. You can now leave.

Teresa: we re in this together, why expelle only him? Am i not a suspect?
Teresa’s mum: my honey, our case is different.

Me:: i see, i have nothing else to say. I will go. I will forget about this school, i will forget about this day, but, i will never forget the cost this love will pay, i will never forget Teresa, cause she is my soulmate.

Teresa tried standing up, but he mom drewed her back. I left the office without speaking no more words to anybody. I went back to the class, with all eyes starring that me, and with the impression on my face, they knew that something was wrong, buh who has the gut to ask me.??? ”nobody”.

On my ways out of the school, Teresa from nowhere ran up to me, with the tears in her eyes, tried to be strong as a man, buh all was to no avail. I broke down, crying like someone who lost a loved one. ”indeed, my love is about to live me” buh i must fight to the finish line, to see i succeed.

”security , lock that gate” someone from behind shouted.

Before the old man could think of standing up, i was already out of the gate. Waving at my classmates, and crying for love..

What am i going to tell my mom, ?
What will she do when she finds out by herself”?

Isn’t it better i tell her by myself? All these questions kept coming into my head.
After the long walk from school to house, i arrived home, haven’t been beaten by 12 o’clock sun, my colour changed automatically. As i step my foot into the house, the first soul i met was my mom. ”what is she doing here by this time of the day?

Me:: mom, good afternoon

Mum: good afternoon son. You re house earlier today, what happened.

Me:: mum , i was was sus————p::::::

Before i could finish the word suspension, kece ran into the house, claiming that a Dog was pursuing him, which got everybody laughing. ” nearly said the truth” *inwardly*.
