”God, i hope nothing will happen, i hope she won’t get pregnant” my mind kept tormenting me. It wasn’t long, sleep came and i slept off.

(Time Checked) the sound of my phone woke me up about 5pm, 15missed calls already on my phone….. 5 from mom and 10 from Teresa. I decided to call my mom first..

Me:: hello mom, sorry i missed ur calls. Wassup to kece?

Mom: he is fine.

Me:: ok..

Mom: i wanted to tell you to cook rice, stew is in the fridge. Prepare it and bring ours here.

Me:: ok mum.

Mom: dont stay long ooh.!

Me:: i won’t.

She ended the call, while i went inside the store to bring out stuffs for the food. The food was already of fire wen i remembered that Teresa called me.
(over the phone)

Me:: hello honey.

Teresa: where you keep ur phone nah…

Me:: i was sleeping. So wassup nah, has the the pain reduce?

Teresa: yap. A friend of mine gave me something to rub by the side. And also to take . Any problem? Why panicking?

Me:: noo, just that i wanted to know. So you re on piles?

Teresa: yep.

Me:: hmmmmmm *relief*

Teresa: dont worry, more is yet to come our way. You know, i didn’t enjoy this one that much cause of the pains.

Me:: wow, more? Sure why not. *inwardly* this girl, you won’t kill me.

Seems someone was approaching her direction ” i will call you back” she hung the phone.

Me: sure. Hmmmmmm what is smelling *trying to know the exact thing smell* oh Jesus, my rice.

I immediately added water to the rice in other for it to be done in mins.

The road that leds to the hospital was kinda kind of a busy road, if not careful you might fall into the gutter or a car might jam you up. After mins of walking in the danm busy road, i was about 10kilometre to the enter into the hospital gate, when the sound of gun was heard.
Everyone running halter scatter. I dont know if am to run further or backwards. My attention got a woman with a car, who was crying that her bag was on the bonnet of her car with so much money inside it. At fist, i wanted to ignore, buh between a blink of an eyes, my body rushed to where the bag was, i carried the bag Inside our hideout for her. There was so much smile on her face, that she didn’t even know when she hugged me. ”Wait oh, this perfume scent is familiar to me” *inwardly. And also this face, have seen her before, buh can’t remember *inwardly*
she brought out one thousand naira note and gave to me, buh i didn’t collect.

Her: my son, remove the cap nah…,so that i can see the face of the person that helped me today.

I was about removing the cap, when another round of bullet was launched into the air again, and this time, it was continuous. I used that opportunity to hid from the woman. ”who knows who she is” i thought. After some mins, the firing of the bullets stopped. Every persons started coming out from their hiding places, i gently sneak out under the table i was hiding and i was about to leave, when i heard the voice of that same woman again.

Her: son, tell me you dont need the money nah…

Me:: thank you ma.

Her: anyways, thank you so so much.

I heard a boy asking her to give him to money since he refused to take it *pointing at me*

Her: thank Goddess he didn’t even collect it. He stinks, likewise you. Will you get out of her. Set of poor folks. *voom* she drove off with her car.
”thank God i didn’t even collected her money, ungrateful human being” i said while entering into the hospital. I got into the hospital, seeing my mom and kece outside walking up and down. Immediately they saw me, kece rushed and collect sand, poured on me.

Kece: *happy face* mummy, he was not the one. He still dey alive.

Me:: what’s the meaning of this nonsense?? Kece ?

Mom: my son, you shouldn’t blame us at all. We heard that bullet killed someone coming to this hospital.

Me:: so you thought is me?

Kece: nooo, we just wanted to confirm.

Me:: hahahahahaha, yu people won’t kill me with laughter. Abeg jhoor, lets go inside.

Kece: brother, wey food flask???

Me:: ewooooo. Food, flask gone, in , battle, field.

Immediately, i said that have lost both the food and the flask, come see cry for kece’s face. (lolzz)

Me: lemme go back to where i dropped it..

Kece: go back oh, if not, this my sick bed won’t enter you tonite.

Mom: will you shut up. You will no longer to back to that bed again. I cancel what you said in the name of Jesus.

Kece: abeg mummy, take it easy , before you cancel me with the name of Jesus kwa.

Me:: hahahahahaha……. Lemme go and get the food.

Kece: noo, come and stay.

I ignored kece and went back to my hide out, only to see that the food inside the flask has disappeared, leaving the flask well arranged and clean. ”wetin man no go see for Nigeria. Oluwa epp us ooh.
