Fire God Of The Fire Island - Season 1 - Episode 54

“What?”
Levi whirled around, ready to attack Loki if needed. But then he stilled, Loki looking at him with a telling and serious gaze, relaying something to him through his eyes.

Surprisingly, Levi seemed to understand what he was trying to convey and simply slunk back, slipping into the shadows and smoke hazing the room.

“You’re completely out of line here”, Loki stated as he stepped bodly into the centre of the room, placing himself in-between Kate and Elder Aodh. “This is the Fire Temple, you have no authority here”.

Elder Aodh looked surprised and a little bit vexed at Loki’s appearance, indignant to recieve a lecture from a man he did not know. “And who are you?” he asked tersely.

“That is none of your concern”. Loki reply was equally abrupt, his eyes narrowed into a look of fury.

The air around them spiked significantly and it was easy to tell that Loki was a superior FireBrand, without casting a single spell. “You better let her go. It would be within your best interest if you did”.

Surprisingly, Elder Aodh faltered for a mere moment caught off guard by the power that Loki was radiating. “I am merely following the orders of our Princess”.

“She’s no Princess of mine”.
Loki spat, surprising Kate by his animosity for her cousin. “I refuse to follow such a disgusting creature”. He took a threatening and ominous step forward. “Now, if you don’t do the smart thing and let Laura go, you will be severly punished”.

Elder Aodh took a faltering step backwards, Laura uttering a small whimper at being jostled in his grip.

“Now Levi!”
Loki suddenly yelled.
Behind Elder Aodh, Levi appeared from the darkness, his eyes narrowed in a furry-filled glare.

“Blade of Fire!” Levi snarled, flames brusting forth in the air in front of his hand to form a long dagger. He then flicked the dagger into the palm of his hand, grassping it tightly as he sprung forward. “Hah!”

He moved so fast that the Elder had no chance to move or make any form of retaliation. A scream of pain erupted Elder Aodh’s lips when Levi embeded the fiery dagger into his back, pushing forward with all his strength, instantly making him loosening his grip on Laura.

“B-----d”,
Levi growled at him. “I told you”

With a sudden gasp, Laura slipped from the elder’s hold, falling ungracefully toward the floor. However, thankfully, Loki was quick enough to jump forward, gathered the injured Priestess into his arms and jump back, getting her to safetl
“Gotcha”.

Sitting in Loki’s arms, Laura head rolled back to rest on his shoulder, gazing blearily up at him. “Loki…”

Levi removed the dagger from Elder Adoh’s back, only to kick him harshly in the side, sending him sprawling a few feet across the room before crashing to the ground, skidding across the floor in a highly painful manner. He then slumped there, unmoving, saved for the harsh rising and falling of his chest, inidating that he was still breathing.

“Easy now”. Loki said as he slowly and carefully lowered Laura to the floor, Kate and Levi immediately racing over to her.

“Laura?”
Kate said softly brushing Laura’s hair from her eyes. Oh, she was so pale.

Please let her be ok, Kate silently pleaded, tears welling in her eyes.

Laura slowly turned her eyes toward her, her expression blank with pain. “I’m sorry”, she whispered.

“Shh, It’s alright”,
Kate said soothingly, putting aside her anger and absolute hatred for her cousin for the moment, Laura needed help right now. “Don’t try to talk”.

Laura murmed something, but it was faint and Kate couldn’t quite hear her. Although, the way her lips moved, it was almost like she said. “Dark Fire”. Then, before anything else could be said, Laura’s eyes rolled into the back of her head and she went limp against Loki.

“Laura!”
Levi cried as he moved forward to gather Laura carefully in his arms, fear evident in his eyes.

“She fainted”, Loki said as he helped Levi cradle Laura carefully.

“She needs to be taken to a healer immediately”,
kate interjected, a sense of authority in her voice. “Those injuries, they need to be tended to straight away”.

Levi nodded and carefully pulled himself to his feet, being mindful of the delicate Lady in his arms. “What about you?”
“I’ll be fine”,
Kate brushed off his concern, her golden eyes piercing as twin candle flames within a dark night. “Kira and I really need to have a chat”.
******
“Kira!”

This rage, this anger, it was a new kind of heat Kate hadn’t experence before. It was so intense, so painful. She didn’t like it.

And those emotions increased tenfold when she spied her arrogant cousin, standing in the middle of a sacred chamber, looking calm and collected. Utterly conceited.

“There you are, cousin”.
Kira said smoothly, glancing to look at her over her shoulder, a gut-wrenching smile on her lips.

“You’ve gone too far!”
she yelled at her from across the room. “How dare you attack Laura in order to get to me?” Her body trembling, she lowered her head, her hair covering her eyes.
