The Argentina winger is poised to complete a big money move to Old Trafford after falling out of favour at the Bernabeu following the arrival of James Rodriguez Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Angel Di Maria has said goodbye to his team-mates ahead of his expected move to Manchester United.

Goal understands negotiations to secure th signing of the Argentina winger will continue on Sunday , with the 26-year-old set to complete a transfer to Old Trafford. Ancelotti confirmed the winger had not trained with the Madrid outfit ahead of thei La Liga opener against Cordoba and is set t leave the club.

"Di Maria didn't train train, he came just to say goodbye," Ancelotti told reporters. "It is not official [Di maria's move to Manchester United], but everything is solved. "We thanked him for what he has given the club and we wished him good luck.

"Personally, I have had very good relationship with Di Maria. He has done a fantastic job at Real Madrid. We are able to replace him very well. "It was his decision, because the club did everything possible, offering everything they could to have him here. He decided otherwise, so good luck to him."
