Short Guide to Write A very Good Blog Post

This post contains the summary of all you need to do in order to write better blog posts. Note that your blog posts determines how long a visitor will stay on your blog. If you know how to write better blog posts, posts that provide the right information at the right time, then your visitors will definitely turn to readers.

How to write better blog posts – 8 Steps To Take

1st Step: Know What Your Readers Want / Give The Right Information At The Tight Time

To write a better blog post, you don’t write on a topic just because of your passion for it. You research to know what people want, know the trending questions and problems in your niche, then write to answer and solve them. You can simply use yahoo answers to find the most recent questions asked in your niche. Your post is most likely to get more reads if it provides answers to trending questions.

2nd Step: Research And Store Ideas

Once you’ve found a topic to write on, the next step to take is to research and gather enough ideas on that particular topic. Create enough time to research online & offline to gain more knowledge on the post topic, this will enable you offer lots of useful information in your post because of the ideas you have already gotten from the research done.

3rd Step: Keyword Research

Move over to keyword research once you have gathered enough ideas on your post topic. Use free keyword research tools to search and find keywords related to your topic, you can use the free keyword tool on your Google Adwords account.

To write a better blog post, write out relevant keywords which you will use in your post, you should keep in mind that adding relevant keywords in your posts (at least 5 – 6) increases the chances of those posts showing up on search results when such keywords are searched for.

4th step: Grammar Accuracy

Be very sure of words you use in your blog posts. Don’t ever use words that you aren’t sure of and always have your dictionary to lookup such words. I advice using simple words on your posts, all articles in my blog are written in simple English. Your readers won’t have the time to lookup words in the dictionary.

5th Step: Title And Description

Spend more time on the post title and description, try writing interesting titles that readers would love to click and read on, also highlight all the interesting things in your post via the description. (Don’t forget to write all using simple words).

6th Step: Apply Images (where necessary)

Personally, I get bored reading articles containing no image. To write a better blog post you need to mix texts with images where necessary. Last step: Post Editing

Create enough time for editing your post, crosscheck it over and over again. See yourself as a visitor or reader and take your time to read the post. You may have a good post, but if not edited well and arranged accordingly, your readers won’t understand it.

So, once you’ve finished writing a post, create an extra time to recheck it and correct mistakes where necessary.
