Arsenal have received a boost in the pursuit of Barcelona center back Samuel Umtiti , after Napoli pulled out in the race to sing the Frenchman.

Sports claims the Italians have baulked at Barcelona £45m asking price for the defender who the gunners were keen to get in January.

William Saliba will return to the club to make his debut in the summer after a loan at Saint Etienne and Mikel Arteta is reportedly set to exercise Arsenal option to buy Pablo Mari for £10m but they are still keen for further reinforcements.

And with target Dayot Upamecano reportedly on the verge of joining Bayern Munich, they may turn back to Umtiti.
