Barcelona midfielder, Arturo Vidal, has named the two things captain, Lionel Messi needs at the club amid interest from Manchester City.

Barcelona are currently battling to keep Messi as the Argentine international pushes for a free transfer to reunite with his former coach, Pep Guardiola, at Man City.

But Vidal is now insisting that the 33-year-old needs players that improve the team and that get better results.

“There are lots of good players. We have Messi, who is the number one and is an alien, but he needs help.

“He needs players that improve the team and that get better results,”
