The Frenchman spoke to ‘Téléfoot’ and acknowledged that he did not expect things to go the way they went for him in the first campaign at the Bavarian side.

Not everything is winning titles in the footballing world. What a player really wants is to play and, if not, tell that to Lucas Hernández.

The Frenchman completed his first season at Bayern winning everything, but with no room in Flick’s team. An injury left him out of the team when he was a starter and then he didn’t win a spot in the XI because of different circumstances.

He played 25 matches, yes, but throughout 1120 minutes. Little for a player that was essential in Simeone’s team at Atlético.

The Frenchman is motivated by the new season but warned on ‘Téléfoot’ that he is not willing to put up with many years of this when he is in the best years of his sporting career.

“I still have a four-year contract, but if it’s still as hard, I’ll see what I do”, he explained.
