Rennes Have Shown Interest In Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo

Jean-Clair Todibo’s future seems to be almost certainly away from Barcelona. The French central defender is on the way out and Ligue 1 side Rennes have reportedly contacted his agents.

Despite the fact his arrival in 2019 was seen as a signing for the future to replace Gerard Pique in defence, Jean-Clair Todibo has not been able to triumph at Barca.

His loan spell out at Schalke last season was not good at all and it seems like Ronald Koeman, the new Barca coach, does not count on the young French defender. Therefore, Todibo is on the way out of the club.

That means several clubs are more than interested in getting hold of the former Toulouse man although there is one team who seem to be in pole position.

According to ‘FootMercato’, Rennes, one of the leading teams in Ligue 1, are trying to sign him whichever way possible before the transfer window closes.

The media outlet points out that the French side, just like Napoli did in the past, have had talks with Todibo’s agents to see whether the player is willing to join them
