Photos: Ex Jigawa Gov. Returns To Nigeria, Says He Will Respond To EFCC Invitation On Thursday

Immediate past governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido, who has been accused of conspiring with his sons, Aminu and Mustapha Lamido to steal about N1.3 billion from his state while he was governor, returned to Nigeria yesterday June 15th. He went on holiday immediately after handing over power to the new governor. When he returned yesterday, he was welcomed by his teaming supporters at the Dutse International Airport. Alhaji Lamido while responding to questions from newsmen at his home in Bamaina village in Birninkudu Local Government area of the state said he is aware of the EFCC invitation and he will be honoring it.


“I am aware of the invitation.’’he said He said that EFCC is an antigraft agency of the government, recognized by law, therefore, he would not shun the invitation. He added that he will be honoring the invitation on Thursday June 18th.
