Grieving Father Forced To Carry Dead Body Of His 5-Year-Old Daughter In India. Photos

A grieving dad was forced to carry his dead five-year-old daughter's body for nine miles after being denied a hearse.

Gati Dhibar was faced with the ultimate indignity after daughter Sumi was declared dead at a hospital in India.

He was not made aware of a free hearse service and with no money to pay, Mr Dhibar made the long walk back to his village where last rites were performed.
A video of his heartbreaking journey went viral on social media.

Several hospital staff have reportedly been suspended for allowing him to leave the Pallahara community health centre without the necessary support.

This is not the first such incident in the Odisha region of India....
