UNIABUJA notice on the upcoming Convocation Ceremony

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdul- Rasheed Na Allah, on behalf of Senate, and the University of Abuja community cordially invites members of the public to the 28th Convocation Ceremony of the University scheduled as follows:

FRIDAY 16TH FEBRUARY 2024 (Pre-Convocation Lecture)

Guest Lecturer: Dr. Arabo Ibrahim Bayo Senior Consultant, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar

Time: 10.00 am prompt

Venue Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Law, University of Abuja Main Campus, Airport Road

Convocation Ceremony for the Award of Bachelor's Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Master's degree, Doctorate and Honourary Degrees

Time: 9.00 am prompt

Venue: The University Convocation Square, Main Campus, Airport Road, Abuja

NOTICE TO GRADUANDS

Hiring of Convocation gowns

• Doctorate Degree - #10,000

• (Outright purchase) - #100,000

• Master's Degree - #7,000

• Postgraduate Diploma - #7,000

• First Degree - N5,000.00

Convocation proceedings

• Doctorate Degree - N15,000.00

• Master's Degree - N12,000.00

• Postgraduate Diploma - N12,000.00

• First Degree - #10,000

Certificate Collection 

Doctorate Degree - N16,000.00

Master's Degree -  N13,500.00

Postgraduate Diploma - N13,500.00

First Degree - #11, 000

"Certificate Holder - #4,000

Gowns, Convocation Proceedings &  Certificates will be issued on payment of a tatal sum of N30,000.00 for first degree N36, 500.00 for PGD/Master's degree; and N45, 000.00 for PhD graduands on the provision of evidence of payments of the stipulated amount. All payments should be made in favour of the University of Abuja at any Commercial bank via the REMITA platform.

 Collection of academic gowns begins on Wednesday 14th February 2024 at 11:00 am at the various faculties

Graduands are to assemble in front of the Senate Building on Saturday 17th February 2024 at 7:30 am for the procession.

No graduand would be allowed into the Convocation Ground after 9.00 om

All Academic Gowns must be returned not later than 6.00 pm on Monday 19th February 2024. Late submission will attract surcharge of N5,000.

SECURITY NOTICE

1. Luggage and bags will not be allowed into the Convocation orena 2. Car stickers provided should be pasted on vehicles for easy direction of guests to designated parking lots by the university security personnel.
