No casualties as Singapore Airlines plane catches fire after emergency landing (photos)

A Singapore Airlines plane caught fire after emergency landing at the city-state's Changi Airport early this morning but the good news is that there were no casualties.

Flight SQ368, a Boeing 777-300ER, took off from Changi Airport around 2:25am this morning carrying 222 passengers and 19 crew and was expected to arrive in Milan at 8:45 a.m. local time.
Instead, just two hours into the flight, an engine oil warning message forced the pilot to turn back for an emergency landing.

On arrival in Singapore, the plane's right engine burst into flames, and the fire was extinguished within minutes according to statements by Singapore Airlines and Changi Airport. All passengers and crew have been safely evacuated from the plane and will be transferred to another plane to continue their journey.
