Gold Digger is a hip hop song recorded by American rapper Kanye West, from his 2005 second album, Late Registration.

It features guest vocals by singer-songwriter and actor Jamie Foxx.

On July 5, 2005, it was released as the album’s second single and broke a record for the most digital downloads in a week, also becoming the fastest-selling digital download of all time.

The single ultimately topped the US Billboard Hot 100 while reaching Number 2 on the UK Singles chart.

Co-produced with multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, the song contains samples of Ray Charles‘ I Got a Woman.

In 2006, Gold Digger won the award for Best Rap Solo Performance at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards and appearss at Number 60 on Billboard’s All Time Top 100 .

It has been certified 6x platinum in the US, 4x platinum in Australia and 2x platinum in the UK.
