Gunmen reportedly fire at Governor Rotimi Amaechi's convoy

That's what his people are claiming. According to the story, unknown gunmen yesterday opened fired at the convoy of Rivers state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi at Rumuolumeni, Obio Akpor, area of Port Harcourt where he had gone to campaign for APC Governorship candidate in the state, Dakuku Peterside.

According to the governor's spokesperson, David Iyofor, he said some 'thugs' began shooting at the Governor's convoy, leading to two people in the convoy sustaining injuries. Thankfully, no life was not lost in the gun fire.
